(Gemma's POV)
The next day, Tony and I decided to go and visit my mum so I could tell her about my conversation with dad.
"Babe quit fidgeting" Tony said as I was twirling my hair.
"Sorry I'm just really nervous. what if she hates me because I talked to him?" I asked him.
"I doubt she will hate you Gem. You have every right to speak with him and you told him you needed time anyway" he said grabbing a bit of hair out of my hand and tucking it behind my ear.
"You're probably right" I sighed.
"Of course I am" he smirked.
Tony grabbed his keys and we drove to mum and Jason's place. When we got to the door, I was freaking out.
"Don't worry it'll be fine" Tony said and squeezed my hand. Mum opened the door and pulled us into a hug.
"I've missed you guys" she said.
"Missed you too mum" I said smiling weakly. We walked inside and into the lounge room where Jason was watching some sports show.
We said our hellos and then Tony sat down to watch the show. He gave me a look.
"Hey mum can we talk, alone?" I asked nervously.
"Sure" she said leading me outside.
"Well, I don't know how to tell you this but..."
"Your dad called didn't he?" she said.
"Well, yeah but how did you know?" I asked in shock.
"How else do you think he got your number?" she said.
I just stood there in shock.
"I thought you didn't want him in our lives" I said.
"I don't, but I realised that you're an adult now and you need to make up your own mind about him" she sighed.
"Well I told him that I needed space right now" I said.
"That's very mature of you Gem" she said hugging me.
We went back inside and sat on the couch with the boys.
"All good?" Tony whispered to me.
"All good" I whispered back and he hugged me.
