footsteps

So this happened about 15 muinets ago. I was getting ready to go to bed. Everyone else in the house is asleep and almost all the lights in the house are off. I go into my living room (Which was extremely dark since all the lights are off) to grab something and then I head back to my room to go to bed. I was walking back and heard footsteps. I thought they were just mine but then realized they were coming from behind me,I turned around and nobody was there. I kept walking and the footsteps got just a bit louder. I sped up and eventually started running to my room. Once I got in my room the footsteps stopped.
