The Curse of Religion

Some terms to familiarize yourself with are Towrah, which means "Teaching, Guidance, and Instruction". The Towrah comprised the first five books of the Tanahk (the Hebrew texts revealing God's message to mankind), errantly called "The Old Testament" in English Bibles.

Also important to know is the name of God, which is Yahowah. Yahowah (Yhwh) is called Yah for short by those who know Him. The way to know God, is by reading His Towrah, the prophets, and the Psalms/Proverbs. I hope you find this information helpful in your search for truth, and keeping these terms in mind to research later on your own.

God is pretty clear how he feels about religion, so here's a look at what he has to say. This text is taken from the DSS (Dead Sea Scrolls) in Hebrew. The English transliteration is first, followed by the Hebrew word in italics, then the amplification in parenthesis:

"So then ('atah), this condition (mitswah – codicil of the covenant) is to ('el) you, O clerics (kohen – priests and ministers). If ('im) you do not(lo') listen (shama' – receive this message), and if ('im) you do not place (sym) it on ('al) your heart (leb – incorporate it into your being) to give (natan – bestow) glory (kabowd – high value, honor, respect, and dignity) to My ('any) name (shem), says ('amar) Yahowah (YHWH) of the spiritual regiment (saba'), I will send out (salah) in and among (ba) you all ('athim) a curse (ma'erah – an ambush). I will curse ('arar) with ('eth) your kneeling down (barakah – your blessings of wealth and prosperity), and also (gam) I will bring a curse on ('arar) her [Yisra'el], because (ky) you all did not ('ayn) place it (sym) on ('al) your heart (leb)."              The signature mark of religion is bowing down, the sign of a curse. The concept of bowing down is in direct opposition to the idea of family, which is always depicted standing in the Towrah. Yahowah declares that He Himself will raise you up as His children (children don't lift up their parents, it's the parents who help the child). Kneeling to Yahowah is 100% in opposition to having a productive and healthy relationship with any father.

"And I will, of My own volition, consistently kneel down in love, lowering Myself to bless and benefit you (wa barak – I want to bow down, diminishing part of Myself to mercifully and continually favor you (piel imperfect cohortative))." (Bare'syth / In the Beginning / Genesis 12:2)

  "Trust (batach – place your reliance upon, have confidence and be secure) in the name (ba shem) of Yahowah (YHWH) and choose to always lean upon Him (sha'an – opt to rest next to, and consistently depend upon, stand upright relying on and trusting Him), upon God (ba 'elohym)." (Yasha'yahuw / Salvation is from Yah / Isaiah 50:10)

Those who oppose and are hostile to (sane' – those who detest and dislike) Yahowah (YHWH) will always cringe and cower, bowing in submission concerning Him (kachash la – they will become insignificant, diminished and disowned, estranged, disappointed and denied for having dealt falsely and having deceived according to Him). And they will continue to exist that way (wa hayah – they will have chosen as a result of their own volition to actually be like that (qal imperfect jussive)) for time everlasting ('eth la 'owlam). "All of (kol) those who are descending (yarad – going down) to be pulverized into powdery dust as the rubbish of the earth ('aphar – as ash and debris), and (wa) the souls (nepesh – the consciousness of animals) He does not keep alive (lo' chayah – He does not restore to life, revive from death, nor spare, save, or preserve) shall kneel down prostrate (kara' – they shall bow down, fallen and subdued, some ceasing to exist and prone for termination while others will suffer miserable emotional anguish)." (Mizmowr / Song / Psalm 22:30)

"A thousand (wa 'eleph – a large number) may fall, prostrating themselves, and possibly even die, being cast down (naphal– may attack and collapse, be diminished, bowing down, and then cast down while seeking to conquer and oppress (qal imperfect active)) away from your proximity (min tsad – at your side or as your adversaries trying to trap and control you) and (wa) many thousands more ('eleph wa rababah – a great many thousands, perhaps ten thousand thousands or ten million) as a result of (min) your right hand (yamyn – turning to the right to gain perspective (looking at the Middle East from America), and turning to the south toward the sea (and thus contemplating the religion of these Gentiles); usually rendered right hand (which would be invocative of written material); yam means sea, symbolic of Gentiles), this will not strike you (lo' taqa' –it will not prevail over you, neither blasting or blowing you away or lo'machats – smite you or pierce you, causing neither a contusion or would upon you [from 1QIsa / MT has will not come near you])." In case you missed it the first time, read this one again: Those who oppose and are hostile to Yahowah will always cringe and cower, bowing in submission concerning Him. And they will continue to exist that way (by their own choice) for time everlasting ('eth la 'owlam).

If there's one thing I see, it's people bowing down before the lord and begging to their master. Cringing and cowering in fear of death, begging at the foot of the cross to be saved. These souls choose to bow down and serve a master to keep from being killed, inspired by fear. You can't talk most of them out of it, many are beyond the point of reasoning their way through the religious haze.

Yahowah is holding out His hands, He wants to lift us up where we can walk with Him as children like He did with Adam in the Garden. What makes you think He wants His children cowering in fear like the pagans do before Ba'al, the lord? Think about it.

"Serve ('abad – work with and minister) alongside ('eth – with and next to) Yahowah (Yhwh), your God ('elah /'ilah), and He will kneel down and bless (barak – adore, invoking divine favor for) your bread (lechem) and water (maym).  And I will remove disease and suffering (mahaleh – weakness and grief) from your midst."
