Change of Heart

Chapter 1

"Emerson are you ready dear" my mum yells from downstairs. "Your going to be late for school if you don't hurry up".

"I'm coming mum" I reply.

5 minutes later we arrive at school.
I'm really nervous since it's my first day, I hope my outfit isn't to noticing. (Picture is outfit at the top of this chapter)I'm not getting involved in any drama this year.

"By mum I'll see you tonight love you"
"I love you too sweetheart have a lovely day at school" My mum reply's.

As I get out of the car I realise that the bell has rung. So I race to the office where I can get my schedule.
"How may I help you" the lady at the desk asks.
"Umm ..I'm..New I was wondering if I could get my timetable for today?"
"Oh yes are you Emerson Adams"?
"Yes I am"
"Okay lovely well here you are have a fantastic day"
"Thank you"

As I walk along the corridor trying to follow the map I bump into someone.
"Oh I'm so sorry" I say
"Watch where your going" he reply's harshly.
"Could you please show me where my clas" But before I could finish my sentence he storms off.
"Jerk" I mutter.

Finally I find my way to the correct classroom.
"And who do we have here" the teacher asks.
"I'm Emerson. Emerson Adams"
"Well Ms Adams would you mind taking a seat"
I sit down next to a girl with short blonde hair and blue eyes. "First day huh"? She asks me.
"Yeah it is"
"I'm Poppy" she takes out her hand.
As I shake it I reply with. "Emerson"
"Would you like to sit with me at lunch?"
"I'd love to thank you" I answer. And with that we continue looking a the teacher.

After what seems like forever lunch finally arrives. When we walk to her table 3 other people are already seated. "Emerson I would like you to meet, Ava, Ella and Grace. Girls this is Emerson.
"Hi" they all say in unison.
"Hello" I say.
"It's wonderful to meet you" Grace says.
As we sit and talk the conversation starts to get directed to me.
"So Emerson, where did you move from" Ava asks.
"California" I reply.
"No way I love Cali" Ella says.
We all laugh a little until Poppy freezes.
"Guys look Chase is here" Everyone turns and sees a dark hair guy walking into the cafeteria.
"Who's Chase" I ask.
They look at me shocked. "Chase is the schools like bad boy. He gets detentions like every week" Says Poppy.
"I bet he smokes"Answers Ella.
"Just stay clear if him Emerson. You don't want to mess with him that's for sure"
And suddenly it came to me he's the guy that bumped into me this morning.

We talk a little more about shopping and what's happening at home when I feel a tap on my shoulder.
"Excuse me" says a deep voice.
I turn around and see Chase.
