A Pink haired girl was running fast though the forest trying to get away from something but it had been over two hours and she was getting tired but it was like the Gods were on her side there was a village up ahead, she ran towards that the thing she was running from had stopped a long while age but she wasn't taking any chances by slowing up
The village was small but there were people there so it was still good when she walked into the town square it was really pretty it had fairy lights, flowers, trees around some houses and stalls and there were many nice things sold she was to busy looking around at everything that she didn't notice that a short-ish boy that was wearing guard armour
"excuses me miss are you new here" she jumps when he asks that because she was so in thought that she didn't notice
"a-ah oh yeah I'm new here" she scratches the back of her head embarrassed that she didn't notice him there and the fact that she stutters
"when did you get here" He asks not really bringing up the fact that she looked like she was deep in thought most people do when they come here for the first time
"oh I just got here, sir who are you" she asks she was very confused by all of this she wasn't used to people asking this it was new to her
"sorry for being rude, I'm Iwaizumi Hajime head Guard of the Oikawa village" Iwaizumi explains and bow as well to say sorry for being rude he was very formal and nice she thinks to herself
"Miss what is your name" Iwaizumi asks her because it seemed fitting that he knew her name first before he continued
"oh right m-my name isssss" She thought 'not I can't use Hanamaki they will know who I am and I can't have that ohh I now what my name will be'
"Makki that's my name" she finishes looking at him nervously hoping he won't notice her hesitation when giving answer
"do you know about this place a lot" Iwa questions her, he remembers that his parents when he was younger would talk about knights, guards and warriors the main reason why he became a guard for the village
"no my father talked about here a lot he said that it was a nice place and I think so far he was r-right" her voice broke and the look of sadness came into her eyes, she was thinking about something in the past
"are you alright, Makki" Iwa was concerned he felt like it was my fault that she was like that
"oh it's not your fault sorry if I made you thing that, it's just sometime I get sad thinking about my dad" She gives a small chuckle trying to look happy but the pain and sadness was still in her eyes
"uhhhhhh are you planning on staying here or living here" Iwaizumi said trying to change the topic of the conversation because he felt unconvertable at the moment
"can I" Makki asks her eyes lighting up again when it was mentioned, this made Iwaizumi feel a bit better
"well were always looking for new people and we will never cast someone out" Iwaizumi says with pride when talking about it, of course any guard would have pride when talking about their village and Makki knew that
"I think that I will live here" Makki smiles at him with joy ,some people looked at her there was something about her smile that made people feel happy and want to look at her
"right, we have a few new houses that you can move into but they are small just so you know" Iwa told Makki as he lead to the houses
"I'm ok with that as long as I have a roof over my head I don't care" Makki jumps around and skipping after him she still had that big smile on her face while doing so, 'why is she the most happiest person to hear that' Iwaizumi thinks to himself when he sees how she reacts to that it really confused him
"so how long have you lived here" Makki asks trying to break the silence that had come up in the conversation and it was getting awkward to say the least
"my hole life" Iwa says looking back on it the only time he ever left was when he went to guard school
"wow, wait how old are you" Makki was confused to how old he was because he looked about 17
"I'm 17" 'called it' Makki thinks with a smirk on her face but Iwaizumi doesn't notice
"I'm 17 as well " Makki exclaimed looking around more the houses that they were passing were one story tall and had trees surrounding them it looked really pretty
They walk to the end of the small row of houses, they come up to a house it is smaller than the others but not by a lot "this is the house it has a basement in it along with a bed, toilet and kitchen" Iwaizumi explained to Makki, Makki was happy even if the house was small it was better than her old house
In Makki's eyes it was perfect "oh the Lord of the village is going to have to come so you can finalise that this is going to be your house" Iwaizumi explains but all he got return was a nod, she was talking it in she felt like she was free from a chain that she will never get chained to again as long as she lived
