Hamsters are VERY clean animals and will clean themselves but you might want to help them a bit, but how? Water? NO hamsters have natural oils on their fur that can be washed away by water and make them sick. IN the wild hamsters only use water to get away from predators as a last resort.
Never put your hamster in water unless told by a vet to do so. Instead, buy hamster bath and put it in a dish and give it to your hamster, if the dish is not big enough they might not use it.
