Phase 1

Mr. Khurana and DD Patel were business partners. This did not limit their relations, as they were good friends outside the office as well. Their children Siddharth and Roshni had grown up together, facing every up and downs of their family life as one.

When Siddharth left for higher education to London, their friendship was put to test. Roshni indulged herself in NGO work to put Siddharth out of her mind. Three years down the line, she befriended one of her co-workers, Yash and had started falling for him. Roshni feared that her mom would not accept Yash, as her mother was very strict and particular when it came to decision making regarding Roshni’s life. 

Yash was going on a backpacking tour to Europe with his friends for 3 weeks. Roshni had decided that once he would return, they would talk to her mother regarding their relationship as it had already been three years.

Fortunately or unfortunately, the day Yash left was the day Siddharth returned to Mumbai. He had completed his graduation and had returned to start working with his father. 

As soon as he lands in Mumbai, the first place he goes is the NGO where Roshni works. Roshni is in complete shock as she sees him appearing out of nowhere. As anticipated by Siddharth, she was very angry with him. But he knew how to persuade her, and he kept pushing her to forgive him for not being in touch with her. Roshni took her time, and finally forgives him when he offers her candy floss (which was a symbol of apology for them since childhood).

They start hanging out together like before, and eventually Roshni opens up to him about Yash. Siddharth was happy for her as she had found someone as her life partner. Few days had passed, and everything seemed to be normal. Roshni had come to Siddharth’s house to meet him, when he suddenly falls down the stairs and hurts his head. Roshni tends to his wounds. At that moment, the concern in her eyes made him feel closer to her like never before. Unknown to him, he had started falling for her.

After that moment, whenever Roshni spoke to him about Yash he would seem disinterested in the topic. He became flirtatious and coy whenever they met, Roshni thought that he was just teasing her and never took it seriously. Them hanging out together did not go unnoticed by their parents.

One day, when Siddharth and Roshni were outside; she receives a call from her mother. Apparently, their parents had fixed their marriage and she had called to inform her. Roshni and Siddharth have a fight, and he leaves angrily as she blames him for this misconception.
