Krillin had got used to this.Thinking he was weak. The wind rustled by as Krillin kicked a pebble.

The monks reminded him was feeble.Inferior.It had been very easy to believe that it was true. They had known everything Krillin hadn't about martial arts.To a child like him,the best source of knowledge was them.Rumors were seen as facts to Krillin, and so were insults.Stories of fiction, anything that they told him.

It was all true.He was confident that what they said was true.A waste of space at the temple, for a long, long time. This belief would have continued and these 'facts' swirling around the temple that Krillin would have continued if he didn't almost murder another child by crashing him through a wall.

That's why Krillin found himself in a large dirt path, surrounded by trees that had different paths connected to the main one.

He was contained his thoughts, ignoring his wild surroundings as the wind swayed past him.

That kid..Bram.He'd been annoying me everyday!

Did he deserve to be knocked through a wall?

A pebble was knocked away, flying off into the army of trees.

Now here I am,masterless and worthless.

Krillin continued to walk through, knowing he was stronger than Bram.

At least that's a benefit from it.Bram is 3 years older than me and still weaker.

He slightly grinned, then went back to his usual mood.Empty.Disappointment.What could he do with this?Stuck on a random road, just kicking pebbles.Food?Empty.He'd been forgetful enough to not pack enough.

What was I thinking?!Why didn't I pack more?

Krillin roamed along the path, his energy draining by the second. He glanced back, thinking that he heard a 'vroom' of a car. Brushing it off as his imagination, Krillin continued to look at the trees as small animals scurried around and birds circled around him. Flowers danced in the wind, until everything came to silence.

Animals scurried off in the distance, frightened of a sudden sound. Like a lighting bolt, a car sped in a flash down the dirty path, with it's wheels rolling dirt into the air, blinding Krilln with a cloud of dirt.

What the hell?Who'd be out here in this silent place?

The wheels of the vehicle sharply turned away from Krillin, almost inches from smashing into him, which would kill him. A loud screech rang out throughout the trees and the car came to a stop in the middle of the road.

Krillin, relieved that he wasn't killed by a car, stepped closer to the cloud of dirt, covering the car.Hoping that it was filled with food,he sliently stepped closer to it.

Unexpectedly for Krillin, a hard object hit him in the head.A girl, about in her teens, angrily walked out of the cloud of dirt, hitting him with a helmet.

''Are YOU crazy?!' 'with hands waving in the air.''Some people are smart enough to move out of the way!'' the girl roared. Krillin rubbed his growing bruise, mumbling,''Ouch.Kinda deserved that.''

The girl's shirt read CAPSULE CORP,with her age being in the teens. Her shoulder-length hair was blue, with a braided ponytail with a bow that hung down to her shoulders.A short pink dress flowed down her body, with small, but comfortable purple socks which were protected by blue sneakers.

''You,''she pointed,''have a lot of explaining to do since somebody like you is walking out here!''

''It's kinda embarrassing,''Krillin muttered,scratching his head.

Her feet tapped, and continued to glare with a piercing stare through Krillin.Krillin got the message.

''I sorta got kicked out of my temple.''

The girl stared for a few more seconds, and then sighed in relief.''Good.I thought you were somebody that was competing with me for something.''

She covered her mouth, blinking.''Shouldn't have said that..''

''Guess the cat's out of the bag,eh?I'll tell you what I mean.''

The girl then scratched her head,as if she was remembering something. Then, she snapped her fingers after what felt like 2 decades.Krillin now had a gut feeling that this girl was crazy. He started feel like this girl was trouble. But he was also hoping for some food. And if he could possibly befriend this girl,he could not die in the wilderness, alone and hungry-and not peckish.Just pure hunger and emptiness echoing throughout his lone stomach.

The lady opened her bag, revealing everything inside. But the most special was a sparkling radar. She grabbed the circular shaped radar, and stared at it.For a few seconds, her eyes were consumed by it,looking proud of her work, and then glanced up at Krillin again, putting the radar away.

''My radar will help us look for it,''she stated, focusing her eyes on it,then flipping it to give Krillin a look.

''This is my Dragon Radar. It'll lead us to the mystical Dragon Balls.''
