The boys were playing around next to the whiteboard, making jokes and talking about ships. The substitute, earlier that day, had called on Akhil, but had mistaken his name and called him, "Akhnil." The class burst out laughing, the some of us had been overjoyed, because our substitute had just came up with a ship name for the two best friends, Akhil and Aneel.
The boys had soon enough found out that their names had been written together in a heart. News spreads quickly in Room 25, and Aneel and Akhil were both assumed gay that day.
"We could get them suspended if you want, Akhil.." Aneel said.
"Nah, just forget it.." Akhil responded.
"But bab-"
"Forget it!" Akhil yelled. Kids around them glanced.
"I'm sorry.."
"Its okay Aneel."
