After my classmates left, the business started to pick up. I can't wait until our new server joins us next month. I wish they were here now. I thought as I rushed around getting orders and filling drinks. Hajime-san and Suzuki-san did what they could. It all finally ended at eleven o'clock. "I'm so tired." I said as I helped clean up the tables.
"I wasn't expecting things to get so busy." Suzuki-san said shaking her head. After I was ready to go home, my phone rang. It was Naru. That's something that never happens.
"Hey Naru. What's up?" I greeted him when I answered my phone.
"I have request for you." He started.
"Okay?" I asked a bit confused.
"Your principal called me and wants me to check out your school's festival. He's told me that students go missing and aren't found anywhere between a day to a week afterwards." Naru told me. I frowned.
"So, you want me to help you?" I asked a bit sad that I wouldn't be able to enjoy the festival after everything.
"Yes, but you'll still be able to be at the festival." He said sighing. "I don't like this idea, but it's all we have."
"You want me to be bait?" I asked shocked.
"We'll attach a camera and microphone to you. You don't have to do anything special. Just go about your day like normal." Naru told me. "I would've asked Mai but,"
"She's a klutz." I said snickering. "I understand Naru. I don't mind."
"Thank you for this." He said, gratefully.
"It's no problem." I said smiling. "When should I come to get that stuff set up?"
"Probably an hour before you have to be there." He said thoughtfully.
"Okay, I'll see you then!" I said. We hung up and I walked home. This is going to be interesting. I can't wait to help set up for the café! I'm off work tomorrow so I'll be able to help out! Yay! I actually managed to make it home without any incidents happening. It's a miracle. I wonder if there's more to this case than what Naru has told me. Oh well. I thought as I finally got inside. I put my stuff away and got ready for bed.
Day 2
The next day
3:00 pm at school
"I'm glad you were able to help us today." Shima-san told me as we all settled into our seats.
"Yeah, I've got an extra day off for homework, but I think I can manage helping with the festival too." I said shrugging.
"Here's everything we went over yesterday." He said handing me a piece of paper.
"Thanks!" I said before looking it over. So, they decided on Hell's Café, eh? That's pretty fitting for what we're doing. Looks like we're serving sweets, tea, and... "Human souls?"
"Uh, yeah. We're working on that one. We're not sure what we're going to do with it yet." Michiru said smiling sheepishly. Jobs-wise it looks like I've been put down as a server.
"We put you down as a server, sorry." Keiko said frowning. "Not a lot of us are very good at it."
"It's okay. I don't mind." I said smiling. "So, have we figured out what the outfits are going to look like?"
"Not yet. We're working on that today." Shima-san said before going up to the front of the room. "Since Moriko-san and Natsuki-san are in charge of the uniforms, I'll let them take over, so we can get an idea of what we all want." Moriko and Natsuki looked a little nervous as they went to the front of the room.
