chapter 8

I woke up staring at the ceiling, feeling the cool air from my fan.

'did I turn that on?' I asked myself not remembering much of the last event.

I sit up in my bed to see a sleeping branch sitting on one of my chairs near the entrance to my home.

'WHY IS HE HERE?'a panicked in my head. Without thinking I threw a pillow at him, hitting my target.

" HEY, what was that for?" He stood up looking directly at me.

" why are you in my house?" I asked him sterly.

"I came here to give you your phone, but you looked to peaceful I didnt want to wake you. And it was warm in here and i accidentally fell asleep." He exclaimed.

"You saw me sleep?" I said feeling heat run to my face.

" yeah." He said looking concerned because of my reaction.

'He saw me sleep, nooo. I hate when people see me sleep. I feel like they make fun of me, no. No. No. No." My thought were interrupted by my face being smacked with a pillow.

" look  I'm sorry, I'll leave now." He said reaching for the door knob.

"No wait, I'm sorry." He turned to look at me. "I'm just self-conscious about it, I think everyone makes fun of me." I looked down. " stupid I know." I said feeling my eyes water.

"What no, I understand." He said.

" really?" I asked looking up.

He nodded. "And besides it was kinda cute." He said rubbing his neck.

"Are you serious?" I asked.

"Uh, yeah." He gave a nervous laugh. "O..oh right, there is a note on your phone for you". He said opening the door and heading out.

Once the door was shut I shuffled for the phone with he left on my side desk. I saw he changed my lock screen to himself. The sight made me laugh.

I open my text I had received from my 'friends'.

Poppy:hey sis, do you wanna go on an adventure today

Poppy: y/n?

I replied asap.

Y/n: sorry for not responding sooner, I forgot my phone at branches last night.

I realise I got a text from an unknown number as well

???: hey n/n (nickname), been a while since we've seen each other, since everyone thinks I'm dead. I would like to mee my precious flower. Come to the small 'creek' by troll village.

Once reading the text my mind wandered off to who it could be, but decided to ignore it. I then went to my notes and opened the newest one, I started reading and what I found made my heart race.
