Murdoc wanted to smirk.

The poor girl looked as though she was about to cry.

" 'm sorreh love. You're jus' not th' type o' music we're lookin' for."

She nodded.

" That's alright. Thank you for your time, sir."

2D showed her to the door, thanking her for taking the time to audition.

Then she was gone, with the rest of her rag-tag band.

" Was that really the only reason you turned them down?"Russell asked him, arms crossed.

Murdoc shrugged.

" She was a cooky bird, Russ. Jus' cooky."

Russell slugged his shoulder.

" That's a stupid reason to turn her down, Mudz."

He grumbled.

Murdoc rubbed his arm.

He'd actually turned the girl down because she was good.

Too good.

And he didn't like competition.

Lyric sniffled as she walked out of Kong studios.

She thought she had done very well, considering the style of music she played.

" Ey, Lyric. Hurry up back there. "

Pyro yelled.

" Sorry! " she said, hurrying after her comrades.

Pyro gave her a quick look.

"What?"

" Are you crying? " Pyro asked, lighting a cigarette.

Lyric shook her head.

" No. I'm not. "

Pyro rolled her eyes, and draped her arm over Lyric's shoulders.

"C'mon now. You ain't cryin' cuz of the reject, are ya?"

Pyro's green eyes looked into Lyric's kaleidoscopic, neon-blue eyes.

Lyric sighed.

" This is our fourth interview. If we don't get signed on soon, we might not get signed on at all."

Pyro grinned.

" Then we'll just have to be better then them. It was obvious to Mr. Nicalls that we're brilliant. So we've just got to get out in the open."

Lyric sniffled again.

She wished we was as confident as Pyro.

" Okay?" Pyro asked, tightening her arm on Lyric.

Lyric nodded.

Pyro pulled Lyric into a noogie.

" Alright. Now let's find Cyra and Ni Hao."

Pyro said and mounted her motorcycle, Lyric sliding on behind her.

As they sped away, Lyric turned to Kong studios.

Then she flipped the campus camera off, chuckling.

She couldn't wait to astound the world.
