It’s okay to cry. You’re not weak because of it. I know girls are often made fun of if they cry, but you have every right to let your emotions out. And if you need another person, even a stranger to be there for you, then it’s okay! No one in this world has the right to make you feel bad for the way you handle your emotion because no matter what they say, they don’t know what’s going on with you. They might have been through the same situation, but they could never have dealt with the same past and same conflicts like you. So, don’t let your strength be determined by others perception of things. For I think, you are one of the fiercest and powerful women I have met. And I am honoured to have come across you.
Now, let me tell you a secret. I do this often when I leave behind my nocturnal friends. This is my way of leaving something behind to the world, pieces of me scattered in the hands and cares of random people. And when I am gone, I will forever remain, through you.
I used to be scared to cry too, I still am. When I was younger every time tears crept through my eyes, my father used to yell at me for being all kinds of stupid. He made feel horrible for showing emotions, as if it was the worst thing a human could do. I didn’t know at that time, that my father was barely man himself. I have spent my life, muffling my cries behind closed doors and ensuring I am inhumane enough to live through life. And I cannot have that happen to someone else. So cry till you have no tears left, scream till you throat hurts and feel till your heart bursts, but never ever go numb. Please.
