On one fateful day, humanity meet the next step in their evolution with something that could only be described as something from a mix between their wildest dreams and a comic book. Quirks. Also known as a Meta Ability, quirks are special, superhuman abilities that an individual can possess, being generally unique to their user and are classified in multiple categories.
The first person to manifest a Quirk was a newborn baby in the city of Qing Qing in China, who had the ability to emanate light from it's body. After that incident, many people around the world began to manifest different kinds of special abilities. While the cause of the Quirk phenomenon is unknown, it has been theorized that the spread of a virus carried by mice had brought about their development. Currently, around 80% of the world population possesses a Quirk.
As it was obvious, someone would eventually decide to use it's gift to evil and there would be someone to raise up and oppose those people. Those, became the villains and heroes that now exist in the current society as criminals or defenders of justice.
Currently, U.A. High School, an academy where students learn and train to become Heroes, stood as the undesputed #1 ranked high school for heroics and considered as the top Hero Academy in Japan and a place were great heroes were made and many youngsters tried to enter in hopes to become one themselves.

One of those people happens to be a girl with teal eyes and long, ginger hair, worn tied into a high ponytail on the left side of her head, which reaches halfway down her back with bangs that split into three clumps around her eyes, and some of it sticks up in large tufts on the top of her head. This girl's name is Itsuka Kendo, someone that, like many, dreams of becoming a hero.

Kendo: It's a lot bigger than I thought.
Kendo smiled and looked around at the Academy where she hoped, she would be able to study for the next 3 years. All around U.A. were students dressed with different uniforms, being in groups or alone, walking inside with her following soon after. Today was a special day. It was the entrance exam to enter U.A Academy were many students would fight among themselves for a place in the number one hero academy.
Kendo: So this is where I'll study from now on. I can't wait to train with the best and become a hero!
The young girl couldn't contain her excitement anymore and started to walk even faster towards the building.
Boy: Oi, look at that ...
Kendo: Hmm?
On her way inside, Kendo noticed something from the corner of her eye. Layed on one of the benches of the hero school, was a boy. He had a peacefull expression on his face as he layed there with a blanket over him, seemingly ignoring the stares that he was getting from everyone. Kendo found it strange since it was still the cold season, even with a blanket on top of him, there's no way that he could be comfortable with just that.
