Alecia, a bright young werewolf, runs away from her abusive life after being told she will be forced to have an arranged marriage. Knowing she will be unable to do anything to prevent this as everyone in her small home town seems to hate her and that any marriage she has with anyone there will continue the abuse she already gets, she leaves (stealng her mother's favourite car in the process).
After a car accident, in which she loses almost all of her memory, she starts to build a new life for herself. She changes her name and lives the way she wants to.
It's not until a few years later that she starts her journey down memory lane.
