A breeze, blows the yellow, pretty thin curtains from mine and Ginny's bedroom. Ginny blinks her eyes open and yawns. When she is awake enough she sits up in bed her hair is in her eyes, when she moves it out of her face because it tickles. Getting out of bed she smooths out her pajama's and mumbles "Good morning Autumn" when she's not fully awake, and I groan awake, "Can I sleep a bit Lon—" but then I realize the day and cut off the end. While I start to stir awake Ginny gets up and opens up her wooden antique closet, that's sitting at the end of her beds frame. While Ginny is grabbing her black tennis skirt, that goes with her Hogwarts uniform, we decided this year that we will put on our uniforms before we get on the train, because our siblings say it takes forever and the line is so long. In public we will just wear jackets mom said anyways. I mumble, yawning "Good morning" "Hmm?" Ginny says "Oh your awake, good morning." Ginny holds her Hogwarts uniform out like she's praising it and she wipes off imaginary dust. She steps behind the curtain in our room to change, while I slowly inch out of bed. I realize curly ginger hair is a mess and eventually Ginny says "Oh yeah Autumn are you exited, today you are going to be going to Hogwarts?" I look up excited, those words definitely woke me up "Yeah, I really am" I feel butterflies in my stomach. I'm so happy I'm finally going to Hogwarts. The place I've longed to be for my whole life. The most safe and Grand place on Earth, so I heard. Ginny gets dressed while I walk over to my desk and grab a one of my combs. It's red and yellow with a small heart on it. "See you downstairs, I'm going to help mom with breakfast" Ginny says while she skips out of our bedroom and down the hall, I can hear the croaking of the floorboard as she walks down the stairs.
Once I get my rats nest which I call hair to get untangled and at least a little straight, I grab my blank Hogwarts uniform and put it on, and put my 9 and 3/4 ticket for the Hogwarts Express in my pocket. I hear that Ron is still snoring in his room next to ours, it's a horrid sound, at least he falls asleep late so I can fall asleep before he starts the sound. I throw some of my rubbish into the bin, from the floor and clean up a little. Ron doesn't even care does he, that it's our first day of school, I think and roll my eyes.
I pull my hair into a messy bun and run down stairs, I'm so exited for today. My mom greets me with a big bear hug, of course she has a smile glued to her face, while Ginny puts moms special handmade croissants made from scratch in the oven. My father is reading the paper in the living room with his spectacles. My brother Ron finally wakes up and comes downstairs. Ron is wearing his pants for the Hogwarts uniform, a white unbuttoned shirt, and a untied tie around his neck. Yep, I was right he doesn't care. This of course made my mother mad and she told him "straighten up, it's your first day of school for heavens sake" he mumbles saying "yeah, yeah okay" and with that he fixed his shirt and tie.
Ding. Ding. The oven rings as the croissants are baked. I grab an oven mit and take the tray out of the oven. Golden brown, light, and fluffy just like they should be. I just realize, that there is eggs, bacon, ham, and fruit already on the table. "Author come in here we are having breakfast" My mother says, as she grins. "Yes, dear" my father says and puts down his newspaper to come sit with us. I sit down in between to Ginny and my father who is on the end. It's so quiet not having Fred and George around pranking everyone. They moved out after they graduated. I do miss them, but it's nice having peace and quiet.
Myself and my family feast on this delicious meal. "All of your luggage has been sent to Hogwarts, I just heard that it got there safe and soundly" dad says. I smile "good, now that we know that today is a special day." Everyone glared at me and mom continues " It's Autumn's first day of Hogwarts today, and you two better be nice to her and keep her in the right place okay" she glares at Ron and Ginny. "Especially you Ronald Bilius Weasley." "Mom don't use my middl name you know I don't like it, hmphh" I stifle a laugh because Ron looks so young when he's pouting. When we finish eating, Ron and me clear the dishes and mom cleans them in mid air with magic. "Well don't you guys have to be going the train will be there in about 25 minutes, let's going" My father says.
Everyone walks into the living room and Ron grabs flue dust and puts it in our palms. "Everyone think of where you want to go clearly and say it's name, Ginny go first" Mom says. "Kings Cross Station" slips out of her mouth and she vanishes. The same happens until it's just mom, me, and dad. Dad stays home and I am so exited to see Hogwarts itself in person, like every other person in the Weasley family, and especially to have the Gryffindor experience, like everyone else! I breath in, then out, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Go. "Kings Cross Station" I say clearly. I feel the green flames tickle my body, and I'm there in front of the 10 platform with my siblings, them holding their pets, a few books, and lunch even though the rest was shipped to Hogwarts. My mother appears and I reach into my pocket and take out my 9 and 3/4 ticket for the Hogwarts Express, and clench it tightly and run into the 10 platform pillar.
