The next day
Today is the preliminaries. All 7 team except for Kabuto from another team of Konoha.
The first fight was Uchiha Sasuke vs. Akadō Yoroi. Sasuke won quickly, thanks to his sharingan though Yoroi almost drain out half of his chakra.
Next match: Aburame Shino vs. Zaku Abumi.
"Aburame Shino and Zaku Abumi. Please come down here." Hayate called from the arena.
Shino and Zaku jump down. Zaku was having both of his arms splinted.
Shino, just try not to kill him.
"If you fight me here, you won't be able to fight again."
"Heh. This arm can move." Zaku said as he pulls his right arm out of the splints and ran to Shino.
The arm was blocked before it could hit Shino's face.
"You can't beat me with just one arm."
"Shut up. Zankuha." The air flew Shino back.
"Oi Shino. Finish him already." Naruto yelled.
When Zaku was celebrating mentally, he stands up. His bugs were coming out from his body. Zaku looked at him in horror.
"W-what are you trying to do?" but then he turn around as he heard the bugs. Behind him were a number of bugs from Shino, coming toward him.
"These guys are kikai bugs. They consume the chakra of their prey. If I attack you with this many you will never be able to fight again. Give up, if you don't want that. It's recommended. You aim me, my bugs will attack you. You aim my bugs, I'll attack you. You were supposed to keep your trump card." The bug lover said.
The sound Nin seem lost in thought. After a while, he gritted his teeth angrily.
"I can't lose. I won't lose."
With that he pulled out his other arm. He raises both arms at Shino and his bugs.
"You were supposed to keep your trump card, right? Zankuha."
But the blows never came as Zaku felt the pain in his arms. Chakra was getting out from his arms. He looked into his palms. The bugs are coming out from the holes on the palms.
"When I recommended you to give up, I ordered them "block those annoying holes with your bodies and stay still". If you keep trying to gain chakra to your arms, they will probably-"
"Shut up." Zaku cut him off and channeling more chakra into his now sore arm. Just then his right arm couldn't bear the pressure, tore out right under his elbow.
"-blow up." He finished.
"Because Zaku can't fight anymore, the winner of 2nd match is Aburame Shino." Hayate said after checked on Zaku.
The sand's siblings won in the next matches. Between their matches were Sakura and Ino's. That was a draw so they both get eliminated.
5th match: Nara Shikamaru vs. Kin Stuchi.
"Both fighters please come down here" Hayate said weakly.
-On where his team stands-
"Alright, Shikamaru. Make that little girl cry." His female team mate, Ino, scream.
Oi Kiba. Wanna bet who'll win?
You're on. I bet that cute chick will beat the crap out of him.
Then I bet Shikamaru will win.
