Her P.o.V.
I never believed in monsters and ghost stories, but as I first saw him, I grew curious.
I was fascinated, that something like him even exists.
Sometimes I wondered if all what I just witnessed was just a dream, but the stinging pain in my foot told me otherwise.
~~~~~
Loud thunder woke me up violently from my sleep in the middle of the night.
A bright flash followed soon and lit up my whole bedroom, bathing the room in a mix of bright white and dark shadows.
The wind was strong and pulled on the trees outside of my house and hammered against the windows.It's not like I was able to sleep anyway, because paranoia pulled on me lately.
I always got nightmares and I had the weird feeling of being watched.Sometimes it felt like there was something right behind me and I swear, I felt cold breath hitting my neck once.
That was a few days ago...right after I got into bed and tried to fall asleep.
Since then, I started to lose it and saw shadows and weird things lurking in the dark of many different places, watching me quietly.You could call me paranoid, but since I know that monsters and god-knows-what creatures exist I'm more cautious than ever.
And when I thought back to my childhood I started to wonder what ghost stories, people told me, were actually real.
I mean, every story IS true at some point.I breathed in and out slowly and sat up.
I looked around carefully and wiped the sweat off my forehead with the back of my hand.
My heart was still racing and I was also shaking a bit.
A tear made its way down my cheek and I felt the atmosphere turning darker.It was like the shadows were alive.
They were moving and made its way slowly to me, extending their long claws and reaching out for me.
They wanted to drag me in complete darkness.
The only goal they had was to make me completely lose my mind and getting consumed by endless fear and delusion.I gasped and turned to my lamp on the nightstand quickly.
My hand shook even more, which made it harder to grab the light switch.
My heartbeat intensified and I started to get hectic, tears now streaming down my face endlessly.As I got a hold of it, I pressed it instantly and turned around.
Nothing.
Noone.
Everything was completely normal.
Just hallucinations...no need to worry about it.
I tried to calm myself down without real success.Suddenly my window slammed open with a loud crash and I screamed in shock.
I stared at it for a few seconds, watching it slam shut and open over and over again.
The curtains shook strongly, caused by the wind and I made my way to the window to close it.I moved the curtains away a bit since the window was slightly tangled up in it.
I looked outside.
It was raining and completely dark.
I sighed.This weather described just perfectly how I felt inside right now.
I rested my hand on the handle of the window and leaned against it, just staring out of it.A thunder.
Another flash.
But what was that?!
My eyes widened as I saw a dark silhouette of a tall, slender figure bathed in the bright light of the flash.
No way...
I decided, that it was just a trick of my imagination, but as another flash tore through the dark night sky, I saw him again, standing on the big field across from my house.
It seemed like he headed to the forest behind it.
