The next morning, Bat limps into view of a patrol. Firestarter, Mute, CT-0-000, Pyro, and Quill look ahead toward Bat. He stumbles and falls onto the ground in front of him.

"Hey, shiny. You alright?" Quill asks, running over and kneeling down beside Bat.

Bat looks up at Quill.

"You alright, kid?" Quill asks.

"Where are the others?" Pyro asks.

"G-General...warning...." Bat stutters before he passes out.

"We have to get him back to the outpost. Let's go." Firestarter says.

Bat jolts up.

"General!" He screams.

Rosalyn places her hand on his shoulder while he pants and looks around frantically before he looks over at her.

"It's alright, trooper. I'm here. You're alright. You're safe." She tells him.

He was now wearing his red tunic and he could see a fresh body glove and set of armor setting across the room.

"General, I have to warn you, something is coming!" He says frantically, grabbing her arm.

She looks at him. Quill stood beside her and stares at Bat.

"Where Fyre? And the others?" Quill asks.

"They...they're dead. All of them. They're all dead..." Bat says, letting go of Rosalyn's arm and slumping down in the bed.

Quill wore a face of shock and looks over at Rosalyn who glanced at him. She had a face of sadness which changed to frustration, however she spoke softly.

"What happened, Bat, is it?" She asks.

He looks up at her and nods.

"Y-yes General. We um...we found Marauder and Screech's abandoned walkers but, they were nowhere to be seen. We left Cliff and Sloan with the walkers and we continued down the road. We found helmets." Bat says.

"Helmets? Who's helmets?" Quill asks.

"Marauder...and Screech...and Shiv...and Hydro." Bat says.

"What happened to Sloan and Cliff? Fyre sent Royce to contact me, correct?" Rosalyn asks.

"Y-yes ma'am. While we were looking at the helmets, Cliff and Sloan were attacked. We weren't fast enough. By the time we got back to the walkers...they were gone." Bat says.

"What then?" Quill asks.

"So Royce was sent back to contact you. He apparently never made it..." Bat sighs.

"No. He didn't. I told him to return and we waited for him." Rosalyn says.

"We kept searching. A-and we found them...what was left of them..." Bat says.

"What does that mean?" Quill asks.

Bat looks up at him, fear in his eyes.

"We uh...Marauder...we found him first... but-but he was...skinned...hanging from a tree..." Bat says.

Rosalyn looks over at Quill who had a look of disgust.

"What?!" Quill asks.

"We found Screech the same way...not too long after....then we found Shiv, he, I think he escaped but-but they must have let him...t-to keep us on the right path because as-as soon as we saw him he was shot dead by a sniper..." Bat says.
