Chris's POV
I left the house super angry. My dad and I had another argument, the fourth we're having this week. On other days I'd try to avoid or ignore him but today it didn't work out so much. As I pulled into my perfect hiding and cooling off spot I noticed another car parked at my usual place.I'm already having a shitty night and I'm not giving up my spot to anyone. He'd better go park somewhere else, I don't like sharing. As I got down from the car and walked over to the other car, I heard muffled sounds like...cries. I guess someone's night is way more shitty than mine. I walked over to the front of the car and the sight almost gave me a heart attack. That mass of red hair.
"Joanna?" I called. She was seating with her knees raised and her head between her knees. She only raised her head to look up at me and all I could think of was 'what could possibly be wrong', she looked like she'd been crying for hours.
"Are you okay?" I sat next to her on the car. "Talk to me, what's wrong?." I asked again but she kept on crying. Whatever made her upset must have been really bad. I crossed my hand over her as she relaxed on my shoulder and cried even harder.
Few minutes later she'd sobered down. She pulled away fast.. too fast actually. I figured she didn't need to rest on my shoulder anymore.
"Do you want to talk about it?" I didn't get a reply. "I guess not..."
"It happened when I was twelve."

I didn't have a destination when I left the house but I just sorta found myself here. I don't even know how long I've been sitting here crying with Chris by my side. But It felt nice having someone to comfort me. So when he asked me about what happened, I don't know why but I felt he'd understand.
"It happened when I was twelve. Dad had gone on a business trip. That evening while mom was trying to prepare dinner, she realized we were out of some important ingredient for her secret recipe. We drove to the store and when we were done we got back into the car to go home. That was when my worst nightmare began."
I remembered everything like it was just yesterday. I closed my eyes and I was back in that car six years ago.
" So mom, when will dad be back?" I asked as we got into the car.
"Maybe next week."
"Next week? But my audition is in two days." I love having my mom and dad at my auditions. It was easier with them around.
"The building he's working on is not just any building, it's the 'La Creme' . I know you don't know what that is but I can't explain 'cos it's complicated. He has a lot of work to do that's why he has to be there till next week. Besides we both know you would ace the auditions so why....." She froze as someone held her by the neck.
