Car ride

We finally got into the car. I was kind of nervous about meeting new people and thinking of how I would be and outcast because this school is way bigger than my old school.

I didn't want my mom to think I was nervous though. I told her that my best friend Keisha was also gonna be going to the same school.

She replied in a happy tone "that's great Melissa why didn't you tell me earlier she was also going there at least you won't have to worry about being lonely" I told her I also have some other friends who will go to the school but she didn't know that at the time.

My school is a twenty minute ride from our home and we started getting closer to my school.

As we got closer I got less nervous and more happy that I would finally be able to see my best friend who I didn't get to see all summer long.

We finally arrived to my school and my mom dropped me off in front of my school and asked me if I was gonna want her to pick me up or if I was gonna hang out with Keisha after school. I told her I was probably gonna go with Keisha but I'd text her.

"Okay Melissa bye love you." My mom said. "Bye love you too" I replied as I was stepping out the car and closed the door.

My first day of high school is finally here.
