She was a different girl. She was so nervous. She was heading through the building to get to the studio. She hoped she'd dressed right in a pair of black joggers, U can't sit with us tank, and a red flannel tied around her waist. She walked into Studio 54 and it was packed full with young aspiring dancers. She was lucky she sighned up as soon as she saw the ad. She was watching a Chachi Gonzales video when it popped up. She always wanted to dance and this was her chance. She sat down on the cool wood floor and waited for the instructors to come in. Two people strided into the studio barely making a sound. One of them was a Hispanic girl about her age with light brown hair and glossy grey eyes. The other was an older Hispanic boy with light brown hair, iridescent hazel eyes, and soft facial hair. He stood tall and brooding, with muscular arms, and a few tattoos. "I am Lucas Delarosa and this is my twin sister Andrea. Today we will teach you a simple dance to Trap Queen by Fetty Wrap. We hope You guys have fun and feel free to add your own little touch to it." He had a playful smile that made him seem a lot less intense. She couldn't help, but stare. "Okay, everyone stand up and we will teach you the dance."Andrea bellowed . She stood up as she was told and almost fell over. She wiped her sweaty hands on her flannel and began to stretch. The music started. '1738....' "Okay we start here like this, both hands at your sides and right leg forward. That is first position" She tried to keep up with the dance, but tripped up a few times. As they did the routine one last time all together, she felt a little better, and made it through with no mistakes. In fact she added a little bit of her own twists in to the routine. "Everyone sit, we will now pick a few of our favorite dancers to come in groups and show us the routine." Lucas spoke. He had a husky voice with a slight accent that she couldn't quite figure out exactly where he was from. He bagan picking three girls who were amazing dancers. She knew they would be picked because they nailed the routine perfectly. Then he pointed to her. "Me" she shyly said. He nodded. She didn't think she did that great. She was shaking as she walked up and stood behind the other girls. She never liked to perform in front of others, so this was killing her inside. "No, I want you to go to the front" He said with a gleam in eyes. Oh God not the front. She slowly walked up and stood in the front all eyes on her. "FIVE SIX SEVEN EIGHT...." The beat began blaring and she stood in first position. As the song played she executed the routine carefully making no mistakes. She began to feel that special feeling. Her body was relaxed, goosebumps raced across her arms, and the music felt like it was pumping through her veins. She was dancing as if no one else was there, free, full of spirit and with lots of energy. She got really playful adding extra little moves and making serious Queen Bey faces. Her short brown curls falling around her face. She ended with a fierce pose and a bright smile. She came out of her dazed dream hearing loud applauses. She looked around nervously and bounced over to take a seat on the floor. Everyone was telling her how great she did. She felt amazing. Some more groups of dancers stood up and danced the routine. The class went on for another hour until it was time to go. "Thank you guys so much. We had some amazing talent here today." Andrea spoke. "We hope that we see you again doing big things." She slowly stood up and began grabbing her stuff. She was one of the last people out the door. As she reached the door she felt a hand on her shoulder. She stayed calm and turned around to face the person. "You were really amazing out there." Lucas said with a sweet smirk on his face. She smiled nervously and nodded her head. "Thanks, I actual don't have a lot of experience, unless you count dancing alone in my room." He laughed. It was endearing. She looked up and got lost in his eyes. They stared at each other. "Well" he said breaking the silence" here's my number I would like to keep working with you and help you grow as a dancer"  "Sure" She saw something out of the corner of her eye. Alarmed, She ran out of the building quickly. She was waiting for her mom to come. Andrea came up to her. "Hey, you were flawless dancing like that, girl."Andrea complimented. "Oh please, you were so graceful unlike me" she said. She talked with Andrea for about a good thirty minutes until her mom pulled up. "Wait new best friend, here's my contacts, so we can keep chatting." She climbed in the passenger seat and daydreamed as she rode home. She had so much in common with Andrea. She thought Lucas was amazing, but she saw something that made her wonder about him. She was playing the image through her mind the whole ride. Until a thought popped in her head. They don't even know my name, of course, only I would forget to mention my name.
