The Stage

I am judged in two lights,

One as me and one as another.

The stage but only delights

My emotions and things that suffer.

I am free to play someone new,

Someone old, or someone profuse.

I could even play someone like you.

The stage is put to good use.

The pressure is on, the lines are said.

The audience applauds the performance done.

The last of the crew lies still and dead.

The stage is cleared, there are awards to be won.

Alas it is over, they know not the true me.

This stage is my one great captor.

Will it end and to what degree?

Here you read the inner thoughts of an actor.
