Malik had a normal life, but it was rather bland.
He had a lot of friends but he just felt lonely.
He took to an online community just to find more friends, trying to fill the empty void.
He met so many new people that some even took an interest on him and they started to care about his well being as much as he cared about theirs.
He began to actually get attached to everyone of those new friends,
he loved them dearly and always worried whenever they would act different or seem down.
One day he met someone that he just would have never imagine falling in love with him.
Jacob was a nice guy and he cared about Malik, well it seemed that way.
They talked for hours and hours, but never about themselves.
They were talking about other things which makes it weirder as to how he fell in love with this guy.
One day Jacob actually confessed to liking him,and he thought it was the best day of his life.
He had a person that liked him and that would be there for him when he needed them to be.
Malik changed completely, he was happier, more energetic, he was more talkative.
He found it in himself to trust this person and he took down all the walls he had built up over the years.
He found a way to free himself from all the chains, that kept him down.
Due to all the pain, sadness and heartache he faced throughout half of his life.
Jacob brought the best out of him,
he always managed to make Malik smile no matter what happened.
They talked on the phone, shared their troubles and sharing all the good things as well.
Talking about building a life together to get away from all the issues they both had to face.
Everything was just so perfect, all too good...but soon enough reality started to set in.
Jacob began to change slowly but surely, not being as bubbly and as engaging as he was in the beginning.
The texts, the phone calls and the videos were all different.
Malik felt like he didn't even know this guy.
The person he once fell in love with was slowly disappearing and he couldn't do anything about it.
He didn't even know how to address the issue itself.
He did once but all it got him was a "nothing's wrong" and a
"I don't know "
Malik was slowly but surely returning to his old ways, building up walls to protect himself from getting hurt yet again.
But his walls are weak, he can't seem to stay strong.
Jacob was different from the rest.
He gave him a purpose and made him see that love is real, but...he is beginning to reject that fact once again.
He doesn't know what he is doing wrong and he doesn't know what he should be doing to make things right.
He is even beginning to think he isn't good enough for Jacob.
He can't seem to keep him happy anymore, he can't seem to talk to him about anything that bothers him either.
He was able to vent and tell Jacob everything that he has been going through,
he trusted him enough to let him see his flaws...
Malik has done nothing but be there for Jacob and support him through everything.
He has been cheering him on when Jacob felt like he couldn't keep going.
He has reached rock bottom, the point of no return.
Malik can't keep going, this is all too much for one person to handle.
He has basically reached his breaking point.
Numerous times he's tried to make it work, he has tried to give it time cause maybe,
just maybe things would change...
but he was wrong.Things only got worse.
Things got to the point that he had to turn his friends to talk about his issues, talk about his feelings.
Because Jacob was not helpful anymore, he listened to Malik but he responded coldly.
As if his feelings didn't matter, and he had to suck it up and pretend he was okay.
So he could keep listening to Jacob's issues, feelings and complaints.
He even began to slightly and "unconsciously" emotionally abuse Malik.
The things that made him happy were no longer there, everything turned to dust.
For example, there are no more Good mornings and goodnights.
Only hellos and goodbyes.
There was no more I love you and I miss you.
He doesn't feel loved or wanted anymore and all that caused him to be in constant emotional pain,
he didn't know why this was happening.
He did everything he could do to try and keep Jacob happy, to make him feel loved.
But had nowhere else to turn to, he hit a dead end.
Malik loves him more than he had ever loved someone before,
but maybe it's just time to let go.
However he isn't prepared to let go...
