Desiccated in the silence of the sleep as houses closed themselves off the night, only the nightlife sprung as the innocent laid arrest. The dim lighting from the street lights was the only thing keeping complete darkness from setting it coarse, as the moonlight bounced onto of the roofs, the full moon inflicting its coarse for chaos danced through. Even the devil himself would shiver at the scene of the town of Silverbourne.

Secrets laid buried as deep as the corpse in the graveyards. The sinister behaviour hidden by the friendliest of faces. Corruption weaving deep in the seams of the town. To the oblivious the town seems that of peaceful and harmless but pull back the stitches and that's when all shall would spill.

Right at the corner of Evermoor Avenue, the Young residents and inhabiting it laid a restless and troubled beauty. Her thoughts ran wild as her stomach twisted and turned into knots, tightening the more she let her mind run free. She stared at the boxes in the corner of her room that laid lifeless but filled with her memories and possessions as a deepening sense of the uneasiness coursed it ways through her veins as it felt that a pair of eyes were tattooed on her.  It felt as though a heavy weight was sitting on her chest as the air was thickening the more she consumed and the burning sensation felt as she breathed out, she quickly rushed herself to the window - the feeling lurking within her even more as the paranoia set in just as quick. As she peeled back the curtain, her warming deep brown eyes searched the empty streets to see nothing but the coldness of the night. The void was the last thing she remembered as her eyes flickered heavily and the black of the sky consumed her.

I woke up to be greeted by the hard wooden floor, a pain screaming its way down my back as I struggled to get up, my bed inches away. Confusion ran through my mind of what exactly was happening last night - the pain, the feeling of being watched , passing out. None of it made sense. Maybe it was the thought of the move? Maybe it was I haven't a good night sleep in over two months? Maybe it was even the fact that I haven't ate solid food in that same time and been living strictly off coffee? Maybe it was just all getting to me.

I stood there staring at the mirror and reflected back stood a girl I didn't know anymore. Black circles clung under my eyes as they remained bloodshot themselves, my skin broken and lost of colour, a weak smile plastered on - trying my best to give as much as the illusion as I can that I'm alright, and my hair knotted and tangled, making me resemble that of a poodle. I sighed. Looking down at my desk, retrieving anything to hide this damaged mask, I instantly got to work trying to make myself look as put together as possible. First day back since the incident. After what happened the world stopped spinning, I cried every tear left within me and I disconnected myself from the world as much as I could, but today was the day I re-entered.

In a town like this, news travels fast, I could only imagine what people are going to be saying and what rumours will be shared - luckily, I wont be around to hear much of it.

I made my break for it as I ran down the stairs, each step creaking behind me, announcing my entrance, only to be seen was a drunken mess laying there on the sofa, as a destruction of mess fell in the path of her. Bottle in hand. Unconscious. An utter mess. I moved over to the woman who I once my deemed my mother and gently placed a blanket over her, removing the bottle and pushing back the lump of hair. Looks like both of us had an uneasy night. I looked around at the mess from the drunken stumbles ; the table pushed back at a crooked slant, her jacket thrown carelessly on the ground, a trail of liquid dotted around leading to a big pool of it near her , pictures frames knocked and leftovers tumbled all over the counter with the fridge left wide open. This is my life now. No more safety net to save me from jumping off the deep end. Just me and Cara - and the occasional visit from another mess, Cara's boyfriend, Derek.
