Chapter 24

Mackenzies POV 

We heard the gunshots, everyone froze. I don't think anyone took a breathe until we seen Jax walk out with his arm wrapped around Ashley. I noticed he had a huge gash on his arm and Ashley looked exhausted with a few bruises. 

I squeezed happy hand since I was worried about them. He pulled me into his side and wrapped his arms around me. "I'm so happy shes back. I hope everything is alright." I whispered to him "I know little girl, I know." 

Unser walked up "uh Jax is asking for mack." He said confused on who that was I squeezed happys waist before i let go and stepped to under 

"You're Mack? Thought you was the lawyer?" 

"The one and only. Oh I am his lawyer along with some others who have me on retainer. Trusted friend of the club." I told him which made clay scoff. I was going to beat his ass if he kept up with the attitude. 

Unser nodded his head and told me to follow him. 

Jax and Ash were both in the back of an ambulance. "They are taking her to st. Thomas but they won't let me go apparently they have some questions for me. Will you ride with her I don't want her out of your sight." He told me 

"Of course I'll go. Let me tell hap and grab my wallet." 

He pulled me into a hug which I'm sure looked way to close to other but he was talking to me "you don't know why he took her. We didnt know until they called it in that he had them here. We thought she was Just mad at me and ignoring everyone. Stamp killed her partner and blamed a couple Mexicans that weren't even here. You take care of my girls." I hmm as an acceptance of everything he told me. 

I walked back towards happy they were all watching me. Of course clay had a smug look on his face I heard him ask happy if he was okay with his president hugging up on his old lady like that. I shook my head. I told them I was going to st. Thomas with Ashley since they were holding Jax here. I pulled happy into a hug and told him what Jax said, I also told him he was going to see me beat clays ass he kept being a bitch. He chuckled a little against my ear which sent shivers throughout my body. 

"You alright there little girl?" He asked teasing me he kissed my neck 

"You're fighting dirty happy bowman. Don't worry I'll get you back later." I said as I slightly licked his neck making him squeeze my hips 

"Keep this up and you ain't making it to no damn hospital. You need your wallet?" He asked "i dont think it would be acceptable for you to fuck me on your bike right here. Plus you started this and you know it." He shook his head at me before he went to his bike to grab my wallet. 

"I don't know if I will ever get used to happy having a old lady especially once as good as you look doll." Tig said which made a couple guys laugh. 

"You really want her to kick your was don't you?" Josh asked 

"Oh tiggy you're just jealous I didn't meat you first. Don't worry you find a lady one day." I told him 

"Oh darlin don't break my heart like that." 

"I've already told you that you couldn't handle me. And I like my man tall, dark and handsome. Don't even get me started on what else I love about him but I'm sure you'll hear it later tonight dollface." I winked at him 

"You better go if your going little girl before I bend you over my bike." Happy said holding my wallet out

I smiled up at him "you know I don't like empty threats killa." I said grabbing my wallet 

"That's a fucking promise kenz." He said pulling me to him.

"Not fair. Now I have to go sit up here just thinking about you and that bike for the next few hours." I said glaring at him. I gave him a quick kiss. 

"Y'all ride safe." I told the guys before i walked back to Jax and Ashley 

The ride back to st. Thomas was quick. They got her to the back and found the babiesheart beat real quick. We both cried once we heard it. They done and ultrasound to make sure there was no damage to her uterus or other organs. Everything was fine but they wanted to keep her for a fetal analysis test which would take a few hours. 

Ash fell asleep once they got her to a room. Jax texted me and said him and the guys were on the way. 

I heard the door open, I looked expecting it to be Jax but agent stahl walked in. 

"I need to ask her some questions." She said looking at Ashley. 

"Well as her attorney I can tell you that is not going to happen right now. She needs to be as calm as she can be since they are monitoring her and the baby. Also you can speak to her after she's gone home for a few days. Try to contact her again without calling me first and setting up a meeting I will file harassment charges agent. She's been though enough I will not have her be affected by this more than she already has been." 

"You just seem to have all the answers even before I ask the questions, so tell me why did Hector Salazar take her?" She asked me

"Got no idea. Never heard his name before today. Sadly none of us knew she was gone we all just thought she was mad at Jax and didn't want to talk." 

"Hmm well if she wakes and feels like talking have her give me a call. Also I highly doubt the club didn't know anything or knew who he was. Remember they tend to keep their old ladies in the dark." 

"She won't. Have a good day agent." 

"Heres my card call if--"

"Good day." I said cutting her off she huffed and stormed out the door she stopped a couple feet out the door and mumbled something but I couldn't hear. 

That told me someone was out there. I reached for my gun I had in my purse which was on my lap, I slowly cocked it back coughing to mask the noise. I pointed it to the door ready to shoot if I needed to. 

Jax walked in the door with the guys behind him i sighed and relaxed. Once the door was shut "NO one freak out." I said making them look at me confused. I pulled my gun out to get the bullet out of the chamber. 

"Ya gonna shoot someone darlin?" Jax asked with an eyebrow raised he was sitting in the chair next to the bed. 

I laughed "I had no idea who was outside the door I just seen that bitch stop. I had to be ready." I told them 

"You always keep a silencer on your gun?" Juice asked sounding amused 

"Yeah. Never know when you'll have to shoot someone. No one hear shots so they don't notice much." 

"We heard your conversation, you handled her good," Jax said 

"I've told you I hate pigs especially dirty ones. I got y'alls back." I shrugged 

"Thank you Mack. Really, and thanks for coming up here when I couldn't. I appreciate it." 

"Anytime. Really, I think they're going to try and keep her overnight. Let me know if she needs anything or you. And if that bitch comes back call me don't even say hi or no to her. Anyone of y'all I'm foreal I don't trust that bitch and she's not about to twist some shit any of y'all say." I said looking around 

"Kenz I love you. Thanks for handling that bitch" Ashley basically whispered 

"I'm glad to know she loves you atleast" Jax says jokingly 

I walked to Ashley and grabbed her hand "I love you too ash. Don't mention it. Listen to what they tell you. See you tomorrow." I squeezed her hand 

"I'm happy your back." She said smiling 

"Yeah yeah." I said walking to hap 

"Y'all go ahead home. Juice or half-sac I need you to stay in the hall." Jax told everyone 

We walked out if the hospital as a group. 

"I believe I have a date with you and a bike." I said grabbing happys hand making the guys whistle and holler. 

"You're bad little girl." He growled wrapping his arm around my shoulders moving us towards his bike.
