When Joy came back with our food, I unplugged my earphone and sat there eating beside her, not mentioning Mr White, or about how he knows about this place.
"What's your next class," I asked, finishing up my spaghetti bolognese. Whipping of imaginary crumbs of my hands onto my trousers.
"Music, so you have a free right." She replied.
"Yup, I'm thinking of staying here, having some alone time, you know," I answered. I just wasn't up to be around anyone at the moment, my thoughts were getting louder and louder. I just wanted the bell to ring so Joy could leave.

Zoned out, with music blaring through my earphones, I didn't notice that the bell rung until Joy was standing up before tapping my knee, catching my attention.
Pausing my music, not bothering to take out the earphones, I looked up at her, showing that I'm listening to whatever she wanted to say.
"I'm heading to class now, see you after school," Joy said, giving me a small wave before making her way to the Arts building, to her music class, obviously not needing anything since she didn't take her bag.
I shrugged at my thoughts and went back to listening to my music, trying to organize my thoughts and feelings, knowing full well that without the music I will be going down the rabbit hole, and I really don't want to be self-harming at school, not when I didn't want to go to the toilets, and I don't particularly want to get any attention from anyone who may be passing by and see me with blood running down my body.

I was so lost in thought I didn't notice the shadow that stood above me, so when I looked up at the ground in front of me I jumped when I saw shoes not even a metre from the table I was sitting on. I let out a quiet scream in surprise, before looking up to see who the well-polished shoes belonged to.
I pulled the earphones from my ears after pausing the music when I noticed that it was Mr White standing in front of me.
"How long have you been there?" I asked, checking the time to find out that the school finishes in fifteen minutes, I've been here for almost an hour and a half.
"Not too long, only about five minutes give or take," he replied before taking a seat beside me on the table instead of the seats.
"Sorry, and aren't you meant to be telling me off for sitting on the table instead of the bench?" I asked, smiling at him.
"I am, but I'm worried about you, are you okay?" He asked, resting a hand on my knee showing concern.
"I guess so, just trying to organise my thoughts and all that," I replied, not wanting to go into detail just yet.
"I'm here if needed you know that right?" He said, moving his arm around my back, and pulling me to lean against his side.
"Of course, and I am thankful," I said smiling before snuggling more into him.
"Is that why you didn't come to my office this lesson?" He asked, fully knowing that it is the reason why.
"Obviously," I retorted, sighing as I was beginning to get worked up again. "Sorry," I murmured, snuggling into his shoulder, embarrassed by my attitude and how I let my anger and frustration get a hold of me, even for that one second.
"Its okay, no need to apologize, I understand." He responded, kissing the top of my head while rubbing my shoulder in comfort, "I can be your punching bag if needed."
