"THAT SHOULD BE ME"

Flynn's PoV:

It's been a month since I last talk to Brielle. I never bothered seeing her. I never bothered following her. I never bothered asking how she's doing. The same goes to her.

Just because I didn't bothered knowing her well being doesn't mean I don't care about her anymore.

And just because I stop myself from talking to her doesn't mean I don't love her anymore. I just stop showing it...

"What's your plan with your life, Flynn. Are you killing yourself?"

Napatingin ako kay Haru na nasa paanan ng kama ko at nakatingin sa nakakaawang sarili ko. Kakauwi lang niya nung isang araw galing Paris. Sabi niya after a week sa South America na naman siya maghahanap.

Ibang klase din kasi yung si Mr. Kertia kaya niyang linlangin ang sources ni Haru kay nahihirapan siya ngayong maghanap. The weird thing is... ni hindi ko man lang makita na sumusuko na siya. Each day, Haru seems to be more motivated to find his first love and who he believes his last.

"I'm not killing myself." Bored na sabi ko. "I'm just getting wasted."

"Wasted? You mean wasting your life with this... bottles of rum and beer?" Taas ang isang kilay na saad nito.

I just rolled my eyes at him as I roll over my king size bed. Nagtalukbong na din ako ng kumot. Masyado naman kasing pakealamero ni Haru. Punta-punta pa dito sa pamamahay ko. Hindi nga ako kumuha ng guard para kung may nag-doorbell walang bubukas. Pero ang mga hinayupak inaakyat ang gate ko.

"Flynn, don't you think moving on is the best option to stop your pain?" Napatigil ako sa paghinga at napatingin kay Haru na nakatingin na sa kisame ng kwarto ko.

I averted my gaze. "Believe me, Haru, I tried. But I still kept on craving for that pain just to be close to her."

"Aahh.... I see." Yun lang ang nasabi ni Haru. "If you are craving it why not crave for it even more? Instead of you wasting your time here why not go to Brielle and let her feel how you feel about her. You're a sucker to pain after all. If you want to get your girl you need to go through pain."

"Like what you are doing right now?" Mataman kong tinitigan si Haru.

But to my surprise, Haru smiled at me with a spark of love in his eyes. "I know my pain will be worth it."

"You still believe you can find her?" Takang tanong ko.

"Ofcourse." Haru said with a smile.

Napangiti na lang din ako at napatulala sa kisame. Haru does not smile very often. When he smiles it always looks so evil. He's always composed. He's covered with this mysterious aura. He never show his feelings.

But today he smiled. Sayang hindi ko na prepare ang camera ko.

Napabuntong hininga na lang ako tsaka bumangon na. Haru look at me confusingly.

"What? Nag decide ka na ba na magbibigti ka na lang?" Sabi ni Haru.

"Gago!" I showed him my middle finger. "Pupuntahan ko si Brielle."
