There are things that people try to leave in the past. Hypothetically, it might be that it holds no value to the person, or it is too valuable but excruciating for that person to handle.
There are also things that they cannot leave behind the past. Probably it is the only ticket for them to continue living, or it is something that makes them feel secure about themselves or it is life for them as a whole.
These are not entirely wrong, nor is it entirely right. However, when these two coincides, it falls into a labyrinthine space. A space where everything is twisted with irregular patterns, and unending intricate contrivance.
It is too complicated that whoever falls into this space will develop a desire for everything to just stop. The thing is, this labyrinthine space is not made in a literal space, nor artificially through a labyrinth maker's fingertips.
This space is formed within each and every humankind, and there is no other maker except themselves. It is highly influenced by their own selves, their own set of values, what and who they value.
Jung Ilhoon and Son Naeun, though both separately seems to have it altogether, are not exempted to a labyrinthine space of their own.
In fact, their space runs with the same kind of chaos and complications. Severely caused by situations that binds them together romantically, and a little bit more complicated as being bound together legally.
To them, their labyrinth consists of the things try to leave behind the past and things they cannot leave behind the past. No matter how much they try to unbind the invisible shackles and chains that draws their fate in the hands of each other, they simply cannot.
They are two different people, with a not so different labyrinthine space influenced by each other. Hence, forms the birth of their labyrinthine attachment.
