Adrian Black: The Man, The Myth, And The Legend

Chapter. 2

      Adrian was lying on top of his bed. He was currently reading a book on advanced physics. It had been almost 4 years since that night in 'The Shack'. And he had learned that it wasn't just his previous memories that he remembered but also everything that happened afterwards as well. It was strange at first, but he eventually got used to it and now he loved it, he could read a book and then recite it word for word a year later.

        At first he thought the meteor had only repaired his body for the night. However he soon realized that any wound that he acquired since then, whether they were cuts, scrapes, burns or even broken bones, they would all heal in seconds. It was Incredible. Especially the first time he realized it.

                          Flashback

       Adrian had just got out of the shower. Despite yesterday he was feeling really good it was like he got a huge energy boost. After he had scrubbed off all the blood off his back he stepped out of the shower and got dressed. It was about 7 am when he finally got out of the restroom.

     He started making his way to the kitchen to get some food. On his way back there he was lost in thought thinking about the previous night, along with all the memories of his past including the night his mom brought him to this god forsaken place.

     He was brought out of his musing when one of the other kids stopped him in the hallway.

     "Hey freak. What are you so happy about?" Came a voice that held amusement. 

     Turning around Adrian came face to face with Kyle. He was a tall boy of 13 years of age. He had Dark hair and tan skin with green eyes. He was currently holding a soda in his hand. He also had 3 of the other orphans with him. They like to pick on Adrian because if he ever fought back he would get to spend the night getting brutally tortured in 'The Shack'.

       "Go away Kyle, I'm not in the mood right now." After everything that happened last night Adrian was hungry and went to get some food. 

     "Oh, is that right freak, where are your manners for your betters?" He smirked, pointing at Adrian, and his goons moved forward and grabbed his arms and held them behind his back. Kyle smashed his bottle against the wall and stepped forward lifted Adrian's shirt and dragged the broken glass shards along his abdomen. 

      "AWWWW!" Adrian couldn't help the scream that escaped his lips. 

     "Pathetic." Kyle's eyes were shining with amusement. 

      However as soon as he lifted the glass away form the abdomen in order to make another cut, Something happened that made Kyle's eyes resemble dinner plates. Right before his eyes the wound closed itself.

     "What the...?" Kyle was clearly confused as his goons looked up at him. He cut into Adrian's skin again, again another scream of pain from Adrian and as soon as the glass left his skin the wound sealed up so completely to the point that it didn't even leave a scar.

     "Hahaha! That is really convenient." Adrian couldn't help but laugh. As Kyle was about to make for another cut when Adrian figured that was enough, A strange power came off him and pushed Kyle and his goons away and they were pressed up against the wall.

    "I, have had enough of your shit." His eyes were cold yet they appeared to glow with an ethereal light. 

      "What the hell is going on here?" As he held the boys against the wall he didn't notice the appearance of Ms. Connors. Her voice clearly showing her rage and disgust. When she saw what Adrian was doing she made to pull out a riding crop that she carried with her in case he got out of line. She was raising it above her head and was about to bring it down on his face but before it reached him, he lifted his hand and the offending object was ripped from her hand and she was smashed into the wall.
