My first instinct was to run as fast as I could. but I took a deep breath and tried to keep my face as straight as I could. I would only draw attention to myself by running. I had to stay calm and pretend nothing's wrong, running risk of Jordan spotting me. And I also made a commitment to take photos of them.

I'd just avoid looking at Jordan the whole time. They started playing a song and I focused on taking pictures of Cameron.

And for a bit, I Lost myself. He made me happy and laugh. He'd rock out and then make silly faces at me, earning a scream from people, and a laugh from Tay.

Then he'd blush to himself and continue going around dancing.

The band stopped and switched out guitars and Tay grabbed her mic.

"Hey guys! So the next song is very special, to Jordan, and it's called Come Back Home." she nodded her head and a slow melody started playing.

Jordan nodded his head. "I wrote this for a girl I loved...... Love..... I knew her years ago, and I messed up." He started to play on his guitar.

Jordan began singing.

"I don't even know you anymore
But I think you know
What you mean to me"

Then they both sang, there voices mixing perfecrly. "Things will never be the way
They were before
I guess you can't count on anything"

Tay took over. "And your brand new friends
They won't care about you
When the party ends
They'll leave you in the dark
Saying oh tell me where you're hidin'
I think it's time to come back home"

Jordan sang prominently this part. "You taught me everything I know
About poetry
I still pretend I know what it means." This one hit me.

Back when I was going out with Jordan, and when we were in school, I would always help him with English. Especially poetry units.

We'd sit in my room, the library, school study hall, and we'd sit for hours on end as I tried to help him.

And in the end, just so he could get out of doing more work, and would be able to take me to dinner, he'd pretend to know what I was saying.

Jordan took a deep breath and his mouth went to the microphone, but no words came out.

A little squeaked escaped my mouth when I realized that he was looking at me....

Everyone slowly stopped playing music, all looking to Jordan with a questioning look.

"Freya....." His voice cracked as he said my name. He started to take off his guitar and make his way over to me, but my legs started moving.

I took off and pushed into the crowd. I yelled out sorry and excuse me, and just kept pushing.

Soon I was able to get out of the crowd and I ran as fast as I could.

I kept running and didn't know where to go. I thought about my bus, but people would know to look there. My meet up tent ..... It's a big place someone would look but..... There's a lot of people there.

Maybe I can flag down Damon to get him to help me.

But I couldn't see him at all in this crowd. I saw that the venue was surrounded my a small forest. That was my only hope.

"Freya!" I heard someone yell.

I took off running as fast as I could towards the trees. As soon as I got in I slowed down, and tried to catch my breath. I collapsed down next to a tree, and attempted to calm myself down.

This couldn't be happening. He couldn't be here. He can't be in a band and be HERE. This is just my luck.

"Freya, what's wrong?"

I jumped at the sudden voice and turned around to see a out of breath Damon.

I shook my head. "Nothing."

He sat down next to me. "Cmon, talk to me. I'm always here for you."

I started to tell him what happened so many years ago.
