growing up with kara would include :

• you being friends with her since you were younger. you lived in midvale together and were friends with her and kenny, then alex.

• you and kara being there for each other when kenny died.

• you two had become the best of friends, but were constantly teased because you were a boy being best friends with a girl. people teased you two and said you guys were together, but you weren't. you wished though..

• before kenny, you were cool with alex too because you were sort of popular because you were on the baseball team and football team.

• kara was your #1 fan and came to every game even though she didn't understand the game.

• you being secretly in love with her the entire time, but you were too scared to tell her.

•you would also get in fights with guys who even made a   comment towards her or bullied her.

• you would flirt with her from time to time, throughout high school, and she would playfully flirt back.

• you didn't know it but she slowly started to fall for you too, but you guys didn't let the other know until way later.

• you would get jealous when kara got her first boyfriend, which would lead to you getting your first girlfriend, which made kara jealous. you guys ended up fighting a lot because you never got to hang out anymore.

• add the fact that you both were tired of hiding your feeling of who you really wanted.

• the last few weeks of junior year, you broke off things with your current girlfriend. you took a few weeks to gather yourself and finish off the school year strong.

• you had started hanging with alex a lot more because kara was always upset at her boyfriend or with him. alex knew of your crush, so you and her became great friends who could talk about anything with each other.

• you and alex headed to the beach on afternoon on a hot day during the third week of summer vacation.

• strangely enough, kara tagged along without her boyfriend, they apparently had gotten into an argument and were on a break. this was awkwardddd.

• you guys all had a great time, it was honestly like nothing had even happened, like you guys hadn't drifted so far apart. she was laughing all over the place, as were you, and you guys were back to the casual flirting.

• alex gave you the thumbs up to allow you to invite kara to your house so you could privately tell her how you felt (overprotective sister much?). so you did, and kara said yes!
