CHAPTER 2
3rd PoV
Betty opened the door with a slight creek coming from the henge of the door. She was shocked to see the raven haired boy standing in front of her .
?- Hey,
B-hi...
Betty started to tear up while looking down she wiped her tears away until she felt a manly finger lift her chin up , but she didn't give him back the eye contact that he wanted .
?- hey, look at me.
Betty looked up at him , while him still towering slightly over her , which made her feel a bit embarrassed that she was so small compared to him.
B-mhmm
Betty scrunched her nose up sniffing from the tears.
?- I know we havnt known each other long well not at all really but you can trust me, what's wrong?
B- it's nothing...
She started to sniffle again
?- well it's obviously something
As he says ,finally taking his finger away from under neath her chin. He didn't take his hand away though he slowly stroked her arm bringing her into a hug , whilst feeling a patch of wetness from Betty's tears on him.
B- my be- my best fr- friend ... he -he's gone.... he moved...
Betty managed to get the words out of her mouth .
The caring stranger squeezed his grip but enough to make her feel comfortable still.
He pulled away from the hug and sat her down on her desk chair , pulling another chair next to hers .
?- wait here
He walked away with a quick pace in his walk .seconds later he came back with some tissues and Betty was in awe of how kind this stranger was being . He pulled a single tissue away from the few that he got , and slowly placed his hand on her face wiping her tears away. Only to find that she had been staring at him while he was doing this.
?- what is it?
B- ...w-why are you being so Nice and taking care of me... no one likes me...
?- what? Of course people like you . And from only seeing you like this I can tell your a beautiful kind and intelligent girl . Who can't have a problem now and then?
B-what your name...?
?-j-jughead, it's a weird name but yeah ...
B-I like it...
They both giggled and talked some more
B-so why did you actually come here for?
J-well I was wondering if I could join the news paper and I'm guessing this is it considering that there is a printer and loads of newspapers around.
B-well I mean I bet your work is great and that I don't have to see it , but I'm only letting you in so easily because you have been really nice to me .
She was pointing her finger at him until she said
B- your in!
J-really!? Oh my god I'm so excited!!!
B-at least I have a partner now!
They both giggled , they talked for about 15 more minutes and started walking to class which they both had together . She was surprised she'd never seen him around since he WAS in her class.
28 minutes in to their class
Betty was staring down and scribbling on to her hand when she was snapped back into reality realising how much she had drew on her hand when she felt a tap on her back and it was Jughead .
B-hm?
J-here
He whispered and held out his hand to pass her a scrum-pled up piece of paper. She stared at it taking it looking sceptical at him and slowly turned around reading what it said:
Hey
She wrote back into it saying hi back
Hey
Heyy
And the conversation kept going and going until they reached the end of the lesson and jughead grabbed the messed up paper from Betty and read her last note saying :
Race you to the Blue & Gold :)
Jughead looked up noticing Betty was walking with a quick pace for now just so their teacher didn't notice her running, it soon turned into a run and turned a corner leaving jughead in the classroom letting her have a head start but after a few seconds he started walking and slightly jogged around the corner catching up to betty , she was in shock and was surprised.
Jughead zoomed past her leaving her to soon be waking cause he was too fast . She eventually turned around another corner out of breath seeing jughead with his arm leaning against the outside door frame also seeing that loads of girls were crowded around him while he was smiling, grinning his teeth looking down at them all . He finally noticed Betty had made it around the corner out of breath .
Jughead's PoV
I was surrounded by loads of cute girls I have to admit wondering why they were asking me loads of questions but when I saw Betty come round the corner of the wall out of breath and panting I wondered why it took her so long and started to laugh at her making the girls confused and a few turning around looking at betty in disgust. I don't know why they were ... but I just ignored it and so did betty. They all started to walk away and Betty was walking slowly towards me.
B-h-hhhi.
J-what took you so long?
B-you ...are so....FAST!
J-I guess I am huh
B-you should totally join the football team but... never mind but yeah !!
J-hm I'll see , I'll have a look tonight after for try outs I'm pretty sure they're tonight .
B-yes! My best friend was on the team...
Betty was I'm guessing super sad about her best friend but personally he sounded like a pretty controlling friend .
3rd PoV
After school which they had a great day together and Betty soon realising she had a friend to hang out with at lunch and stuff.
Betty had stayed on the bleachers to watch jughead's try outs , there was only Betty and one other girl who had similar raven coloured hair were sat there quite spread out .
Betty decided to step down out of her row of seats and started to walk over to the raven haired girl she was beautiful when she glanced over to betty and smiled at her , Betty smiled back at her .
B-Hey, what's your name?
?- hey, I'm Veronica ,you?
B-Elizabeth but call me Betty , what are you doing out here alone anyway?
V-oh my boyfriend used to come out here , Archie , he was great he was one-
B-of the best footballers! OMG!! Archie was your boyfriend??
V-yeah... do you know him?
B-your the Veronica he was always talking about!! He loved you so much... but I was his best friend he told me this morning he was leaving .
V-yeah he told me as well then.. but maybe we can get to know each other better?
Veronica day up and smartened up and they giggled together and were both cheering for the teams.
Eventually the final whistle blowed...
Veronica thought she had recognised the raven haired boy who Betty knew as Jughead.
When jughead jogged over his eyes were on the floor and slowly stare into Betty's eyes for a few minutes , Veronica's eyes were wide open and when jughead glanced over at Veronica his eyes did too realising who it was...
