"Wha-?" I say, waking up from my sleep.
"Wake up, lazybones!"
"No, thank you." I go back to sleep.
Liza slams the book on my table.
"GET UP!" She screams into my ear.
"You're really annoying, I hope you know that." I roll my eyes.
"So are you, Mia."
I was working at my dead end job when- sorry, let me correct myself, I was sleeping at my dead end job when Liza woke me up. I hate this job even though there's nothing wrong with it. I only do it for the money. Jobs just aren't for me, I guess.
Hey, I'm Mia. A comedian/vlogger /singer on YouTube with 500k followers. That's my real profession. However, this profession doesn't provide me with enough money to buy the good toilet paper, hence, the dead end job.
My birthday is tomorrow, but I haven't planned anything. Birthday parties are stressful, and I stopped planning them years ago. My two best friends, Liza and Maya, always plan something crazy for my birthday. Last to last year, we went to an amusement park. And last year, they took me to a 'bar' to do 'shots'. It turned out to be a kiddie bar with ketchup shots. I would've loved to get drunk and pass out, but instead, I had very smelly breath for a very long time. My friends are really silly, but that's what I love about them.
"So what are we doing for your birthday?" Maya comes up to my desk.
"I know you guys have planned something stupid." I yawn.
"Not really." Liza says, acting all mysterious.
"I hope it's not like last year. My mouth smelled really bad for a couple of days."
"Oh, you'll be using your mouth alright." Maya says with a glint in her eye.
"And also, I don't want it to be full of exercise or dancing. I get tired really fast."
"Well, someone will be dancing." Liza says, smugly.
"What are you guys trying to say?"
"Should we tell her?" Liza looks at Maya.
"I think we should." Maya giggles.
"You guys are crazy. Just tell me, where are we going?"
"We're going to a special place. A place that you'll enjoy." Maya says.
"Stop being so mysterious." I reply.
"Whatever you want, whatever you love will be there. It's a magical place." Liza says.
"We're going to Disneyland?' I say, getting excited.
"Well, you could say that. A Disneyland for adults. A fantasyland where all our dreams come true!" Maya looks at me eagerly.
