Drake stands up to begin the meet. With the loss of a valuable asset to our council, we welcome Kailyn to our family. I'm a council member finally. "Can we talk about how we are getting the anchor?" Elena snaps. Drake nods. "She needs to be replaced," Gracyen demands. "By who, someone who can die?" Yenti snaps back. "What if we just leave her?" Hunter suggest. "As if, eventually she'll find out she can destroy herself. She doesn't understand her power, extremely dangerous!" Liza buzzed. "What if we got her from the inside," Vanson smirked, "they trust Kailyn, have her get the anchor." "I say that's worth voting for," Ann said with an evil look on her face, "I vote we do it." We went around the circle and finally got to me. Six votes for yes and five for no. "I'll do it," I say blankly. My mom never did anything for me, might as well do something for my real family. "Then it's decided, take her from the inside," Ann finished. We walk away and I'm getting ready to be sent to the cabin. "You don't have to do this," Hunter says walking behind me. "What do you mean?" I ask annoyed. "You want to be the one to take her in, I mean for God's sake she's your mom," he argues. "So," I say with a snarky voice. "You're telling me you don't feel bad that you are typically making the rest of her life, which is until the universe ends, misery?" He questions. I know this hurts him. Where he's from his mom and I died in a fire and my mom took care of him for 2 years until she literally took a bullet for him. "My mom is different from your version of her," I say. "Is she really?" He snaps. I pause. "My mom can't love, She's heartless leaving her own kid," I say gritting my teeth. "She didn't leave you!" Hunter yells, "you were stripped from her fucking hands while she cries for you!" I feel a tear run down my face. "I love you Hunter, I'll see you when I get back," I say. He says nothing. I'm then launched to Earth. I walk into the overly familiar cabin to see Wanda crying in her brothers arms. I look at him with a questioning look. He shakes his head. I walk to the room my mom was in to see her sleeping. I walk in and grab her wrist to be overwhelmed by a vision.
"Hello." May says. Peter walks in the room. My dad and May talk about her for awhile and I walk over to Peter. "Parker." I say. "Stark." He says. "This child is my everything I will be watching, if she is is in any danger she is mine." I say. "You know I love her too." He says. A tear rolls down my eye. He was about to scoop her out of my arms but I turn away. "I can't do it." I sob. May, Steve, and my Dad walk over to me. "Ruby, I know you love her and this is your choice but just think about what is best for her, not for you." My Dad says. I know that she is safer here. Too many people would be after her. "But I love her." I say. I think I understand how Peter felt. I hand her to Peter kissing her on the head. "Я всегда буду с тобой." I say so nobody understands. She is in his arms. I am ushered away. Blue is glowing all around me. I knock Steve and my dad down and run to Kailyn. "I can't do this." I say with magic all around my hands. "Peter I will fight for her." I am grabbed from behind and can't let go, I give in, it's what's best. We leave and I cried the whole ride home. I tried keeping my magic under control but I couldn't, I had to be knocked out.
That was one of my moms memories of when she left me... or was taken from me. "Holy shit," I say sitting down. I feel hot tears on my face. "I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry," I say sobbing. "I shouldn't of hated you like I did I just am so tired of feeling useless that I push people who could bring me down away. Mom I didn't want you to leave again." I continue to cry and realize my moms unconscious. Oh my gosh the council did get something during the fight. I see the virus in her. That shot something in her arm and it's making her body decay. They used their cure. "Somebody help!" I scream at the top of my lungs and continue to cry. Tony, Steve, and Bucky rush in. They see me crying like I just was shot. "What is is?" Tony asks in fear. "The council, when when we were fighting they shot her with the cure. She's dying." I scream. I'm pretty sure anyone who is here heard it. I see the pain in all of there faces. "Can we fix it?" Tony asks. I nod more tears streaming. "How?" Steve asks. "Me." I say while my voice breaks.
