The air held a certain chill, one that didn't quite reach the bone but still caused a great discomfort. You cast it aside as the anticipation, watching the seconds on the clock slowly tick down. Football games had always been an important event for you, seeing as your best friend Matt, was on the field every game. Before meeting Matt, you hadn't really been much of a football fan, but watching him play as the wide receiver had you growing a fondness for the sport.
Your school's team was already far ahead, but you couldn't help the knots of nervousness in your stomach. In all honesty, just being within twenty miles of Matt made your stomach flutter. The two of you had always had a rather strange friendship. There was a definite pull of attraction, but both of you seemed almost too awkward to show it. Once or twice, you'd ended up kissing, a feeling you now craved every day, but hadn't spoken of it afterwards. But you resigned yourself to just being Matt's friend, because it was better to have him in your life platonically than to not have him in it at all.
A cheer that came out more as a scream escaped your mouth as the clock ran out, the Cardinals beating the opposing team with a near twenty point lead. Matt had played spectacularly, and you couldn't keep the smile off your face. Following the rest of your fellow classmates, you rushed the field, weaving through the crowd in search of the familiar 81 jersey number.
"[Y/N]!" You smiled brightly as you caught sight of the brunette boy, rushing forward and hugging him tightly. "Were you here for the whole game?"
You pulled back, pushing your hair out of your face and rolling your eyes at him. "Of course I was, Matt. When have I ever missed a game?"
"True." He laughed, his eyes unnaturally dark under the stadium lights. They looked more chocolate than hazel, a stark contrast against his relatively pale skin. Wrapping his arm around your shoulder, Matt began walking with you towards the locker rooms. Every so often the two of you would stop to make a brief exchange with a fellow classmate before continuing on. "I'm starving. Pizza and movie night?"
"Yeah!" You nodded enthusiastically, pulling away from Matt slightly so he could go into the locker rooms and change. "My mom won't be home till pretty late tonight, and she left me some money for food anyways. We can just wait up for her."
"Awesome, maybe she can get us a shit ton of snacks and I can just stay over." Matt flashed you a wink, hurrying into the locker rooms to get changed.
The familiar flutter in your stomach returned as you watched him leave. Matt had spent the night at your house plenty of times, but you still had a bit of an internal freak out every time he invited himself over. None of your other friends had boys spend the night unless they were dating, and even that was a rare occasion. But Matt was at your house, or vice versa, at least once a week, routinely after one of his games.
It would be a lie for you to say you never hoped more would come of your sleepovers. You couldn't count the number of times you'd day dreamed about ending up in the same bed and cuddling, having him kiss you lightly as you fell asleep. Secretly, you were in love with the childish boy who you spent so much time with. But who wouldn't be in love with Matt? You told yourself. After all, he was gorgeous and funny and smart, not to mention athletic. He was everything a girl could want, so it made sense for you to have a little bit of a crush on him.
"[Y/N]? Hey, are you okay?" Fingers snapping in front of your face flashed you back to reality, finding Matt standing in front of you. He'd changed into sweats and a light hoodie, his hair flat against his head from his helmet. His face showed concern, and his hand was laid on your shoulder. "You were spacing out hard core."
"Yeah..." You mumbled back, biting your lip as you felt your cheeks flush with embarrassment. "Let's just get going."
The walk to your house wasn't long, though Matt spent almost all of it complaining about his growling stomach or making some sort of dinosauresque noise. It was typical Matt behavior, to be goofy to the extreme and insanely active despite his long night at the game. You picked up a cheap pizza on the way, each of you eating a slice on the way back.
By the time you were sat on your couch, fishing through DVDs for something to watch, the majority of the pizza was gone, not that that was at all unusual with Matt around. The two of you decide on a scary movie; even though you hated them, Matt always seemed to be able to get you to watch one anyways. But it was worth it, knowing the he would let you cuddle in next to him and share a blanket to lesson your fear.
The movie, The Strangers, was one of the scariest you'd ever seen, and you found yourself burying your face in Matt's shoulder to hide from the gruesome masked villains in the film. When you started watching again, Matt's hand found your knee under the blanket, his thumb rubbing gently against the exposed skin. You closed your eyes as the movie finally ended, and felt Matt's forehead lean against your temple.
He laughed lightly in your ear. "Aww, c'mon [Y/N] it wasn't that bad."
"Shut up, Matt." You were convinced he could hear your heart beating harder from his close proximity, so you pulled away. Grabbing the blanket away from him, you hid underneath it. "There's no way I'm going to be able to sleep tonight."
"Then I'll stay up with you." Matt laughed, pulling the blanket back from you. When you looked up at him, you saw a devilish flint in his eyes. "Besides, I know exactly how to cheer you up again."
Oh shit. "Matthew Lee Espinosa don't you dare!" You squealed, but it was already too late.
Matt's fingers poked mercilessly at your side, his body falling on top of yours as he tickled you violently. Pained laughter ripped its way from your mouth as you tried to push him off, failing miserably. "Stop stop stop!" You pleaded through your giggles, tears prickling at the corner of your eyes from how hard you'd been laughing. "Matt, stop!"
"Okay, okay." Matt laughed with you. He didn't move as you both calmed down, your breathing becoming even again. Without the distraction of his fingers on yours, you became acutely aware of his body pressed against yours. His finger crept forward, gently pushing a few stray hairs away from your face. Your heart pounded like a snare drum as he leaned forward.
There was no way in the world you hadn't imagined it, the way his eyes were fluttered shut and he continuously leaned in. "Matt -" You whispered, scared to break the silence, before cutting yourself off.
His mouth connected with yours tentatively, his lips soft as silk against yours. This wasn't like the few other kisses you'd experienced with him. This felt needy almost, like he'd been waiting forever to do it. Slowly, he kissed you with more force, sliding his tongue across your bottom lip, asking for access. You readily agreed, letting his tongue massage yours.
Kissing Matt was quite possibly the best feeling you'd ever experienced, and you moaned aloud as he bit down softly on your bottom lip. This was definitely different from when you'd kissed before. Matt's hands wandered your body, his fingers slipping under yours shirt as he grabbed at your hip. You involuntarily squeezed your thighs together, trying to abate some of the tension you found there.
"Do you want to go up to your room?" Matt whispered. He bit down on his lip nervously, and you nodded in response.
Slowly, he pulled himself off of you, grabbing your hand and leading you up the stairs to your room. You shut the door, knowing your mom wouldn't care if you were alone with Matt and wanting your privacy with him. His lips found yours again easily, and he cupped your face in his hands and he walked you backwards toward your bed.
The two of you sunk onto it slowly, you turning Matt around to straddle his lap. When he hand grazed your upper thigh, playing with the thin material or your pajama shorts, you pulled back. Worry had spread through your body so fast it felt like it had consumed you. What were you even doing? What if this was a mistake? "Promise me this won't change anything." You begged quietly, looking at the boy in front of you with pleading eyes.
"[Y/N], this will change everything." Matt whispered, stroking your cheek lightly. "You're the game changer, and I'm tired of waiting for you to make the first play."
Your worry slipped away, replaced by pure giddiness. You giggled almost uncontrollably. "Did you just use football talk to confess your affections for me, Espinosa?"
"Yes, I did. I'm mildly ashamed." Matt laughed along with you. "Now kiss me again."
You easily complied with his request. Your lips crashed against his, moving hungrily. Your hands slid into his sweatpants, promoting Matt to help you remove him. A ten had formed in his boxers, and you placed your hand over it, palming him softly as you laid kiss after kiss across his chest. Matt moaned, flipping you over easily, hovering his body over yours.
It took a few moments for you to slip off your pajama bottoms and underwear, kicking them out from under the blankets and onto the floor next to the bed. Matt's boxers were quick to follow, his hard on pressed tightly against your thigh as you repositioned yourselves. The two of you had been waiting to long for this to deal with foreplay, but Matt was careful to make sure you were prepared, spreading the wetness between your legs with his fingers.
"I love you." He muttered, kissing your lips passionately as he eased the tip into you. The feeling was indescribable and his size is unexpected, making you gasp. He kissed the small noise way, entwining your right hands together while using his left to prop himself up.
Matt leaned his head down, nuzzling his nose against yours as he pushed all the way in. He stilled inside you for a moment, waiting for you to adjust before slowly moving his hips against yours. He peppered your face with kisses, keeping his lower half still as he gently brushed the hair out of your face. Even with his gentleness, you could tell it was taking a lot for him to hold back.
"You can move." You whispered, placing a kiss against the outline of his jaw. "Please; I need you."
He nodded slightly, kissing your lips passionately as he begins to rock in and out of you at a slow and steady pace, the most attractive sounds in the world falling from his lips as he pulled out before pushing back in to fill you completely.
The pace he'd set is slow and drove you absolutely crazy. Your skin stuck together as sweat trickled down the back of his neck, around his shoulders and down is ribs until it is crushed between your clashing stomachs. Matt's mouth stayed on yours, very occasionally moving to you neck or the slope of your breast. The two of you breathed in loud, strangled breaths, the rooms air already hot and stuffy.
You'd had sex before, but never like this. Never had you had someone take so much care to make the feeling last. Sex had always been hard and fast and aimed toward a quick euphoria. But not with Matt, and to yourself that that was because it wasn't sex. It was making love; it had to be.
"[Y/N]..." Matt groaned, thrusting a little deeper. You knew neither of you would last tooo much longer, but you wanted the feeling of his hips grinding against yours and his voice soft as he whimpered your name to last forever. You were in your own little world, not caring that your mom could have come home any minute.
Sooner than you'd expected, your body began to tighten up. Every muscle in your body coiled up until it was almost painful and you neededrelease. Your nails dug into Matt's back as you carefully wrapped a leg around his waist, allowing him deeper. A few well aimed thrusts were all it took and you were done for. "I love you." The three words escaped your lips as you kissed him. The moment you were anticipating hit and you swore an orgasm had never felt this great.
Matt mumbled the three words back, pressed his nose against yours but continued with a few more sloppy thrusts until he reaches his climax and coaxed you through yours. You lay still for a long time afterwards, his head on your chest and your fingers in his hair as the two of your slowed your breathing.
You slipped out of bed for a moment, slipping on Matt's shirt and your panties before crawling back into the bed. He'd put on his boxers again, but the rest of his warm skin pressed against you as he wrapped his arm around your waist and held you against him. He traced patterns in your hip and placed the occasional kiss against your temple as your eyes fluttered closed.
"You're my game changer too." You whispered into the comfortable silence, and you swore it was like you could hear the smile stretching across his face in the darkness.all credit to camboydallas
