How your best friend confesses to you :

You sat in the fancy restaurant, wiping your sweaty palms on your pretty pink dress nervously.

Your blind date was supposed to be here an hour ago.

Your phone buzzed on the table, making your heart jump.

Picking up the phone you saw a text from your best friend Hendery.

How's the date going? Xx

You sighed. Thoughts started to make your way through your head like

"omg what if he saw me and left?"

"Did i ever even have a date?"

"is it the wrong restaurant? Wrong time? Wrong day?"

Looking back at your phone you felt deflated and replied to your friend.

I got stood up 🙃 meet me at my place for pizza and a hug please.

You put your phone into your purse. Before leaving the table you took one final look around to try and spot your date, all you saw were couples and high school students.

You walked through the door to your apartment and threw your purse on the floor in defeat. You slammed the door behind you before sinking to the floor.
Tears began to stream down your blushed cheeks. This was perhaps one of the the most embarrassing moments of your life.

A knock on the door brought you back to your feet. As you opened the door you were met by a clearly concerned Hendery. He was wearing grey joggers and a green hoodie. In his arms he held two big bags of doritos.

"Hendery" you cried like an infant,stompong your feet.

He put the bags of doritos down on a nearby counter before pulling you into his arms lovingly.

Your head rested in the crook of his neck as you cried, inhaling the familiar scent.
Your arms wrapped around his waist.

His hand stroking your hair.

"That guy has no clue what he is missing" he spoke with a tone of anger.

"Really?" you sniffed lifting your head so that you could meet his gaze.

"Really" Hendery's gaze was soft,his thumb wiped your tears away.

"you are beautiful" He kissed your left cheek.

"Funny" he kissed your right cheek.

"Smart" He kissed your forehead.

"And the kindest person I have ever met" his forehead rested against yours.

His breath hitched before he finally leaned in, closing the gap, letting your soft lips connect.

Hendery pulled away after a few seconds and looked into your eyes once more.

"And I love you"
