Silver licked the inside of his mouth experimentally. He avoided looking at the lamp by his bedside because he still has a massive headache from the whole: "getting dropped off of the tallest building in Virlaq" dilemma.

"Isn't irony great," Silver sighed, "Can someone hand me a mirror?.. Oh wait."

MJ, who was standing next to him, putting a band-aid on his finger giggled, "You're hilarious, Silver."

"Please stopped touching your fangs like that, Silver, you're going to cut yourself." Nick chided, seated on the edge of the bed.

Oh yes, Silver was dead. Long dead. Undead.

"I can't believe I'm a freaking vampire," Silver said, ignoring his fiance and licking his fangs with interest, "I definitely won't be able to set another foot in the pack house now."

"Don't worry about that, Silver," MJ rolled his eyes, "You nearly died."

"I did die. And it was very painful," Silver reminded the witch.

MJ just giggled again, "Yes, but luckily Nick got you while you were freshly dead. Your heart might've stopped but you were salvageable," He sighed, "If Nick had waited a moment later, your brain would've stopped working and we would've had to have a funeral."

"Please don't remind me, I'm starting to feel nauseous again, MJ," The prince said covering his mouth with his hands.

The witch cringed, "Oh I'm sorry. How insensitive of me. Here, I've cleaned up all your wounds now," MJ threw everything back into his bottomless sachel, "I'll let you two have your alone time. I know there's pleny you would like to talk about."

"Yes, thank you so much MJ," Nick smiled and hugged him. This seemed to catch MJ off guard at first, but then he awkwardly pat his back as a form of acknowledgment. "You didn't have to come back right after your meeting but you did and for that I'm thankful. Also for helping us get into Dragon Co. Thank you for everything."

The witch smiled genuinely, "I would do anything for Felix's dear friend. I'm glad you two could find happiness." he answered and made his way out.

"Right..." Nick sighed as he stood up awkwardly.

Silver furrowed his brows, "Well..." he looked at the prince expectantly, "No kiss for me? No hug? Do you not care that I'm still talking to you right now and not six feet under?"

"I broke my promise," Nick shook his head, "I don't deserve a kiss or any of that stuff." Tears fought to come out of his eyes.

"I always ignored the thought of you dying whenever someone said it," he continued, "I'd known it was a reality I had to face since you were human, but... And I promised you that you didn't need to use that bracelet on me. I promised that I wouldn't hurt you and that I wouldn't turn you. I joked in the beginning but I really meant it, I promised not to bite you."

He reached out ran his thumb over the two teeth punctures he had left in Silver's neck the previous day when the whole situation went down.

"I deserve death," He sighed, "You should go ahead and use that weapon on me, I wouldn't be surprised if you did. I can't be trusted anymore."

Silver blinked at him in shock for a second before puckering his lips in thought, "You're right about that. You did break your promise."

Nick nodded his head sadly.

"I did tell your dad that if you tried to turn me I would instantly kill you," He sighed, "And you did promise that you wouldn't bite me. So you really have broken my trust, Nicholas." Silver scolded as if he were the prince's father.

Nick put his face in his hands in shame.

Even thought Nick was going through genuine heartbreak right now, Silver couldn't help but laugh. He reached out and grabbed the prince's hands to see his face. Nick sat down, confused.

"You know," Silver giggled even more, "I'm a vampire now so... I can't even use that weapon that your father gave me. It's made of silver. I couldn't kill you, even if I wanted to."

It was then that the gears clicked together in Nick's head a smile began to form on Nick's face, "So... you're not mad?"

"Mad? Heck no, I would be dead if it weren't for you," Silver rolled his eyes, "Like actually dead. Thank you, Nick. Everything you've done up until now has been nothing but great and for the sake of my safety. Nick, I love you."

Nick wasted no time in between his words and wrapped his arms tightly around the smaller vampire. He squeezed him so hard, Silver didn't have the strength to squeeze back. He laughed at how childish the prince was acting.

"Alright alright get off of me, I have questions." Silver said and the prince obeyed immediately, sitting up on the bed and nodding with a large grin on his face. "I've been unconscious for the past 20-something hours so I don't know how everything went down. What happend to the Dragons?"

"Well..." Nick sighed, "Mallory is going to prison and may be sentenced the death penalty. Darius was also sentenced to prison for man-slaughter and terrorizing the city. They're treating the whole dragon incident as a terrorist attack. The whole dragon thing was in the newspaper... along with the stuff about your parents so... that's out to the public now. Klara is in the hospital, she hasn't woken up yet. They severely drugged her but she'll be alright, save for a few migraines and memory loss. Let's see... anything else?"

"I feel bad for Darius," Silver said, "I can't believe he's going to prison at such a young age."

"I don't. I mean, yeah, he loved me and he saw me as this god-like figure or whatever but..." Nick shook his head, "He kidnapped Klara, which contributed to this whole problem and not to mention he threw you off a building and killed you."

"Yes, yes, I remember," Silver sighed, "I just wish... somehow... that everyone could've have their happy ending, you know?"

"I know how you feel, but the world isn't like that. This might sound selfish, but I think you have to think about yourself a bit more," Nick took the sides of Silver's face in his hands, "Did you get your happy ending?"

Silver smiled sadly, "yeah, I guess so."

"Then that's all I care about," he said and pecked him on the nose, "You're all that matters to me. And now I can love you until eternity."
