"Did you get all your things packed?" mom asked for what seems like the hundredth time today. "Mom, I'm going to be okay," I assure her "besides, Brent's gonna be there to take care of me." She pouts "Oh yeah. Your stupid boyfriend is gonna be there and I'm not." She's so childish "Mooom, I'm just gonna be gone for two weeks. Don't worry about me okay?" "Okay." I love my mom more than anyone. She's always there for me.

"Dane?" Brent calls after minutes of convincing my mother that everything's gonna be fine. "Coming" I call back to him. I got to his car with one last wave to my mom.

"Is she always like that? You know, over reacting when you're going away?" Brent asks when we're almost at campus to meet the rest. "Yeah" I simply replied. We stayed silent until we reached the campus, well not really silent because I was singing and tapping my fingers along with the music and Brent laughing at my silly actions.

"Finally, the love birds arrived." Shem remarks as I got out of the car. " I'm sorry. You know how mom is at moments like this." I explained "No worries, we figured that'll happen from the experience last month. Let's go then? Pete is getting impatient already." We hurried to the van that Joe borrowed from his dad after parking Brent's car at the school parking lot.

The drive was long but we didn't mind because we were all having fun playing Truth or Dare but not like those wild teens. We were, well we behaved better than them. Until we noticed Jennifer, she was staring outside with her earphones plugged to her ears. We stopped our game and went to her careful that she won't notice us."BOO!" We all shout making Pete hit the horn "Stop doing that you guys! It scared the hell outta me!" Pete shouted to us from the driver's seat. "We're sorry Pete, we were just trying to distract Jennifer from her thoughts here." I said to the now focused Pete then turned back to Jennifer "Tell me dear, what is it that's distracting you" Shem said almost whispering "Nothing really, just go back to your silly game" Jennifer told us jokingly but clearly annoyed by us ruining her peace "Join us then so we won't bother you" Joe offered like some deal "Okay, okay. Geez, you guys are annoying. And this is going to be a long trip" she sighs and joined our silly game. The rest of the drive was spent playing childish games until we all fell asleep except for Joe and Pete taking shifts in driving.
