anyways i did an art style challenge because they're fun and i like studying people's styles
(i just used my bby mehry bc i know her design the best) (also please ignore the fact that her freckles go over her necklace lmao)
i did Hajime Isayama's style first, because i absolutely adore his art style in the AOT manga and his improvement when comparing his first and latest manga is ??? amazing??? anyways i don't think I did enough cross hatching for it to look exactly like his stuff, but i tried
i did the gravity falls style next bc gravity falls is amazing. the style was pretty easy to replicate bc it's in the CalArts graduate vein of styles, but it was fun while I was doing it
i fuckn,, i forgot to color the lineart like they do in DBZ but,, it was so painful to draw with those proportions?? they have huge foreheads ok, i don't even think i was able to capture how big their foreheads are
brendan urie wants what she has
and... i tried, man. i told myself i would do a 3D style, so i was like "heh RWBY would be fun!" and i started and... long story short i am in no way a 3D artist, nor an artist with heavy experience in lineless styles, so this was a whole ass caboodle for me. i like the eyes tho
so anyways i found a stack of digital art i forgot to post
(^^ this is a redraw i did of a traditional drawing from a while back, i can't find it rn for comparison tho)
^^ this one was supposed to be a warmup, but i got jiggy with it and it's a finished thing now i guess (her design reminds me of the chick from Girl by Teddyloid and Daoko but that was unintentional)
^^ the shading on this one is kinda gross but i like the rest
and in other news, there's this one car somewhere by my house that keeps doing wheelies and the tire squeals sound like invading aliens
