Trysttann, Kai, Ian, and Kas sit down to eat dinner.
"Hey dad, can I go to a party with my friend?" Trysttann asked staring at his plate.
"Uhh-"
"No." Kas said interrupting Ian.
"Wh-what?! No!?" Trysttann yelled in disbelief.
Kai snorted a laugh.
"Shut up!" Trysttann screamed punching Kai's arm.
"Now, now, Trysttann don't hit your brother and Kai don't laugh at him." Ian said calmly
"Dad! Why not?"
"Because, you're too young." Kas said eating
"I'm 16, dad!" Trysttann defended
"I don't care-"
"Maybe we should let him go, Kas." Ian said cutting Kas off
"What do you mean 'Maybe we should let him go, Kas.' " Kas said annoyed.
"Well, I just think that Trysttann has th-the right to, to go to a party." Ian said weakly
"I'm not going to let our 16 year old son go to a party and possibly get drunk and god knows what else." Kas said sternly
"I trust him to be responsible enough to go." Ian stood up.
"You were responsible and look what happened to you!" Kas yelled standing
"Are you implying that it's my fault?!" Ian yelled his voice wavering
"I got arrested because I wanted to help you so yeah, maybe it was your fault!"
Ian covered his mouth as his eyes began to water.
"Dad?" Trysttann and Kai said simultaneously in concern for Ian.
Ian sniffled and started walking to his and Kas' room.
"Ian, Ian!" Kas called
Ian continued walking to their room and slammed the door.
"Good going" Kai said getting up and going to his room.
Trysttann hesitated saying something but decided against it and started to walk to his room. Trysttann stopped when he heard his dad call his name.
"Trysttann, just go to the party." Kas sighed
"Thanks dad, it's in a few days by the way." Trysttann said as he started walking towards his room again.
Kas got up, cleaned the table, and washed the dishes and silverware. He walked up to his bedroom and knocked on the door. He heard a muffled cough and sniffle. Kas cracked the door open and looked into the room. Ian sat facing away from the door. Kas closed the door behind him and walked towards Ian.
"Go away." Ian said softly.
"Ian, you know I didn't mean it..." Kas said standing next to the bed, resting his head on Ian's shoulder and rubbing the sides of his arms.
"I don't want to talk to you."
"Oh c'mon! You know I'm sorry." Kas kissed Ians neck. Ian yelped and crawled away.
"Remember the last time you ran from me and we ended up in a dark room and your mom caught us?" Kas said getting on the bed.
"I don't like you!" Ian giggled
"Yeah, yeah. Sure you don't. Now come here." Kas laughed
Ian crawled over and hugged Kas.
"I love you." Ian sighed
"I love you too" Kas smiled making kissy noises.
"You idiot!" Ian laughed
