Clarke glance at the time on her phone. It was nearly noon and Janet still wasn't awake. She assumed Janet just got wrapped up in her work that she hadn't slept the night before . So she didn't want to disturb her.

The growling in her stomach made brunch sound like a good idea so she headed for the kitchen.

The aroma of the food filled the bedroom and Janet's eyes opened slowly. She blinked a few times and sat up in bed. She let her head fall into her hands, feeling the aching in her temples. A few shots in and she'd still kept going.

"Fuck." She said under her breath as she forced herself out of bed and headed for the shower.

Clarke heard the water going and decided to play some soft music in the background. She felt she'd been completely out of line the night before. She felt like she'd ruined their first night alone and she wanted to make it up.

Clarke set the table and started squeezing fresh juice. Just as she'd filled their glasses Janet walked slowly into the kitchen wearing one of her t-shirts. Clarke turned and smiled.

"Hey you. Wow, that shirt never looked that good on me." She said as she reach for her hand. Clarke pulled her close. Janet hair was still damp and smelled of coconut. "I missed you last night."

"I missed you too." Jane said. Clarke leaned in and kissed her. They fell deep into the kiss and Clarke lifted her up on to the counter. Her finger tips grazed her center through her panties. Janet gasped as she grabbed Clarke's wrist.

"Baby, can we just eat. I'm starving. I drank and I didn't eat and I'm just feeling a little under the weather." Clarke stopped and let her hands fall to her sides.

"Yeah of course, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have..."

"No baby, you're good. You're perfect, I just need to eat and I'll feel a lot better." She said.

Clarke helped her down and pulled up a chair for her.

"We didn't have much in the house so, I did my best." She said and smiled.

"No this is great," Janet touched her face. "Really, thank you."

They ate their food, mostly in silence. Clarke desperately wanted to know more about what Vegas would mean for them, but she didn't want to just bombard her with questions. So she decided to wait and let Janet finish her food in peace.

(Later that evening)

Clarke buttoned her shirt in the mirror. She watched Janet's reflection behind her. Janet wondered around the room, putting the finishing touches on her make up and hair.

Clarke never understood how someone so beautiful could look so sad. She couldn't help but to feel like it was her fault. She tiEd her bandanna and walked over Janet. She still hadn't gotten into her dress yet.
