"Virginia!Virginia!" Sara squeaked, running up to me, out of breath.
"What?" My eyes widened.
"There's..there's this boy... You gotta meet him!"
I rolled my eyes, but luckily Sara didn't see. "Okay," I said, "When?"
"T-tomorrow," Sara breathed.
"Okay, we'll I gotta go, but I'll let you introduce me to him tomorrow!" I flashed a smile, hugged her goodbye, and started walking home. When I noticed Sara gone from the school grounds, I shook my head and sighed. A week into school and she's already wanting me to meet a guy I'm sure she already likes.
But I felt a sensation in my stomach, and I felt like I was...was connected to this boy somehow.
The thought of meeting him frightened me.
But excited me at the same time.

I tried to focus on the math in front of me. But I was way too anxious about lunch in...I checked the clock. Twenty minutes. Ugh.
Finally we were excused to lunch. I ran to the bathroom and brushed through my hair, and applied a little lip gloss. My stomach clenched as I walked down the stairs, searching for Sara's face. Stop, I told myself. He's probably nothing special.
Before I knew what was happening, Sara had grabbed my hand and was dragging me outside.
"Whoa whoa whoa," I said, "where are we going?"
"To sit with Caleb!" She said.
Caleb, so that was his name.
I took a deep breath and walked beside Sara. All the too soon, we were at his table. He was surrounded by girls, all laughing and pestering him with questions, most of them with their boobs hanging halfway out. I played with my feet, a bad nervous habit.
"Hi, I'm Caleb," he said flashing me a big smile and walking over to stand by Sara. He wore white shorts with a plaid shirt. his hair was a dirty blond color. My heart fluttered.
"Ermm, hi," I almost whispered, "I'm V-"
"Virginia," he finished for me. I glared at Sara. How the heck did he know my name?!
"Don't worry, Sara's told me all about you," Caleb said, noticing my glare. I looked him in the eyes for the first time, and felt a huge electric charge between us. Like I had known him for years and we had already said a million things to each other. But it was over as soon as it had started as a girl came and hugged him,
"Caleb!" She shrieked, and I saw it was Liza, a girl whom I detested. She shot me and Sara a look, but turned back to Caleb and said in her drawling voice, "Come sit with us Caleb!"
He looked at Sara, apologized with his eyes, and headed off with Liza.
Sara watched him go and said, "I forgot to mention he's really popular with the girls."
"Ya think?!"
