Good morning {Chapter #1}

Mira's POV (8 years old)

Hello! Im Mira, Mira Yasuki. This is me when I was eight! My six year old sister Tilina is a goody two shoes and so kawaii ne but on the other hand I'm a rebel! I always loved running around and playing, and I found the survey corp to be the most heroic people i ever met! My life was good until one day... everything changed...   

I rubbed the sleep from my eyes and yawned loudly. Today mum and dad are going on another adventure outside the walls! I pulled my legs out of my bunk bed and landed on the floor lightly. I was always great at balancing. I shook my sister, Tilina, and shouted "TILINAAAA WAKKE UPPPPP" My 6 year old sister rubbed her eyes and slowly looked up at me, "What... do.... you... want mira....?" I giggled at how annoyed she was "Mum and dad are leaving again today! And I want you to say bye! you always over sleep" I say rolling my eyes and poking her in the ribs "Ok mira" She said in her cute little six year old voice. I grabbed her arm and ran down stairs.

"MUUUMMMMM!!!" I shouted as I ran down the stairs lightning fast, Tilina being dragged behind me. When I reached the bottom of the stairs the best smell in the world filled my nose. "PANCAKES???!!!" I shouted, obviously to excited. My mother was in her scouting uniform, and sitting at the table reading a newspaper was my father, who was also dressed and ready to go. Mum laughed as she came over and patted my head "Calm down Mira" Tilina giggled. "Hey mum?" I said running over to where she was cooking our breakfast, "yes honey?" "When are you leaving?" She looked at me kindly "why you ask honey? You never asked before, why now?" I shrugged, "I don't know, i'll just miss you, that's all" Mum nodded and looked forward at the wall. I don't know why but she had a scared look on her face, but it disappeared the moment the door opened and in stepped....

Erwin and Levi

My mum almost dropped the frying pan in surprise. "Hello corporal Levi and Commander Erwin" My father said dipping his head in greeting. "tch" Levi said scowling, as always. Erwin nodded back politely "May I speak with you two please" He said, then nodded at me and Tilina, "With out them". I looked at up at my mother, "ok you two, go play the the 3D maneuver gear thing outside please" I nodded my head and lead Tilina outside, "Come on, Mum and Dad need to talk about stuff"  

I hooked myself up to the small wooden stilts with a harness attached to it. I always played with this ever since I was a kid, it was really fun!

I let my body go dead still and relaxed my shoulders, I wobbled around a little but I kept concentrating. I heard the back door open and close as Levi walked into the back yard. "Do you brats ever clean your filthy cloths?" I laughed "of course hechiou! why wouldn't I?" "because you look dirty" I giggled, but by doing that my body jerked forward and I almost face planted into the grass! I quickly recovered and wiped my forehead "that was close" I thought to myself. Tilina giggled and said "ha ha you almost fell off!" I blushed with embarrassment. I just made myself look stupid in front of humanity's strongest! I tried to defend myself "I did FINE." I looked up at Levi (who was still on the cobblestone since he didn't want to get dirt on his boots) "Did i do ok!?" Then he said something i didn't expect him to say.

"You did very well for and shitty little 8 year old. If you relaxed your back more, you could of stayed straight for longer. You have the potential to be a great solider" He mumbled.

I stared at him in shock. Did I just get complemented by humanity's strongest?! Sweet mother Teresa...

"Mira! Tilina! Me and your father are leaving now!" I quickly unbuckled myself and run up to her hugging her waist tightly. "Please be safe mum! Then when you get back ill make you your favourite dinner!" She kissed my head and smiled while whispering "I cant make that a promise but I will try... Look after Tilina for me ok?" I nodded my head and saluted to her, my brown locks covering my face which was pale with worry. She smiled and patted my and Tilina's head. Then she, my father, Erwin and Levi left.

Tilina took my cold hand and squeezed it. I looked down at her equally worried expression.

Mother never said EVER told me to look after Tilina before a mission.

Something was wrong
