Inuyasha, Kagome, and Shippo, along with Miroku, Sango, and Kirara, stopped at an ancient shrine to rest before Kagome noticed a dark purple aura resonating from a corner of the shrine. She entered and then knelt down to the floor and moved some wood and coins, causing dust to puff up and into her face and she coughed before waving a hand in front of her face to dispel it. She then removes cobwebs from a scroll of parchment with gold ends and golden string for a method of tying it shut. Kagome looks it over and then calls the group over and they debate over what it is.
"Maybe it's just a stupid old piece of paper. C'mon, Kagome, let's go. Kaede  is waiting for us."  Inuyasha said impatiently as his left ear twitched in annoyance at being stalled. Kagome rolls her eyes and then takes it with her back to Kaede's village. The group sits in front of a fire pit in Kaede's hut and is eating before Kagome leans forward and the scroll slips out of her pocket, falling to the floor with a dull thunk that draws the attention of everyone in the room.
"Kagome!!! I told you to leave that worthless paper back at that shrine!!!!" Inuyasha says angrily before thinking. "Eh, maybe we can sell it for information on Naraku." He lowers his head as he remembers his love for Kikyo and how Naraku betrayed them both. Kaede, however, has her one eye transfixed on the scroll and is shaking a bit as she starts blessing herself. Kagome and Inuyasha notice and ask her what she's doing.
"Ye must burn that scroll immediately!!! There is great evil contained within!!!" She seems genuinely scared and Kagome tries to get more information as she scoots closer to Kaede.
"Kaede, just what is inside that scroll?" Kagome asks curiously. Kaede looks to all in the room and then calms down a little.
"It is not what Ye should be afraid of. It's who. Within this scroll is the infamous daughter of the dragon demon who was locked in suspension by your father, Akane. The most powerful dragon demon know to both worlds. Ye best never set yer eyes upon it, lest yer soul be taken to the nether realm." Miroku and Inuyasha look horrified at the information and then try to take the scroll from Kagome hurriedly. In their rush, they don't notice the scroll opening and they gasp as Kaede, Miroku, and Sango cover their eyes as Inuyasha covers Kagome's quickly. When he looks to the scroll, its inside appearance is the same as the outward one: dirty, ripped, stained with blood, and with holes in the paper. However, the penmanship of the kanji is extremely clean and precise, as if the writer wanted to convey their passion through the flowing script they used. On the inside, the scroll reads as such: "この巻物を人間の目で見た者は誰でも、彼らの体から自分の魂をレンチさせて、もう一方の王国に送らせなければならない。中に隠された真のメッセージを読むことができるのは、悪魔の目だけです." (Whoever looks upon this scroll with human eyes, shall have their soul wrenched from their bodies and sent to the nether realm. Only the eyes of a demon can read the true message hidden within.) Within seconds, the words jumbled around to form a new message that Inuyasha couldn't quite read so he read it out loud.
"I hereby summon the daughter of the dragon, Ryūkotsie. Hear my plee gods of chaos and bring her once more to our realm." Inuyasha pales as he realizes what he has done. He rushes to close the scroll, but it turns so its ends point up and down instead of side to side. The scroll starts to burn slowly and a dragon's roar can be heard as a figure forms from the ashes of the scroll and it's a female with dark grey eyes.
"Damn be to the priestess who sealed me into that scroll." Akane then noticed the group and her eyes narrow before she spots Sango in her demon hunting attire. Akane lunges forward, intent on piercing Sango's heart with her very long, hard, extremely sharp claws.
