Having my arms cuffed behind me and the loud chatter in the background are getting on my last nerve. I turned my head to see the lady sitting next to me, my friend, Autumn. She has short brown hair and dull green eyes; she looked back at me and we shared the same look... fear. The fact that we're sitting in the court room and WE'RE the ones that are being charged guilty is very nerve racking; every second that went by was longer than the last, the anticipation was strong but the tension was thicker. "You both are sentenced to 27years imprisonment for MURDER!"

We started out in front of the cafe...
We started walking down the street, heading to the hotel I'm staying in while I was in Ohio, visiting Autumn, we are planning to watch a few movies and a sleepover together. "AAGHHHH!!" There was a blood curdling scream and by instinct we ran towards it to help the one that screamed. We ran around the corner and towards an alleyway. It was dark and freaky, sending chills down my spine and cold air getting under my skin. I could hear a sadistic laugh coming from the shadow that lurk the alleyway. We walked down through the darkness, keeping close for safety. I slipped head over heels in some pool of liquid that seems to be flooding out of nowhere. I was hit with a sickening smell of blood. I also felt Autumn slip into the puddle as well. "What ever sick joke this is I'm not catching the catch line" Autumn said while starting to freak out, "probably because they didn't throw it" I said as the words rolled off my tongue like it was nothing. "Now's not the time Lilac" she said whilst glaring at me "sorry..." I spoke trying to apologise. She got up and offered her hand which I gladly took. She pulled me up off of the ground and She pulled out her phone and started searching the area to see if this isn't some sick joke or the real deal. Our eyes followed the light until they landed onto... A DEAD BODY!! She threw her phone in a panic, I got down on my knees, touching the ground trying to find her phone in the dark. My hand stopping when I touch an object that was cool to the touch. I picked it up only to have pain spread throughout my hand, I grabbed the object in my other hand and saw that it was a knife. I looked at the painful hand to see it's bleeding rapidly, "AUTUMN, WE HAVE TO GO!!!" I yelled, sprinting off, Autumn catching up as we sprinted away from the crime scene.
Autumn must have stopped because I ran straight into her, almost falling to the ground. There was loud noises that hit me like a barrel, I heard sirens and I looked over Autumn's shoulder to see men in navy uniforms with guns out aiming at us, great. The police...

after being in prison for 5 months you get used to the routine. Breakfast, the time of the day that will determine what we do for the day if it's as simple as cleaning to being put in solitary confinements. "ALRIGHT MAGGOTS!" the lead officer spat out, mocking us at the same time. "We have a new recruit with us" they started, letting this new information set in. There was a few grumbles and mumbles spreading the food court. "Her name is Skye, Officer Skye." Autumns eyes lit up hearing Skye, her head whipped to the side towards the door to see her friend that looked amazing in her navy uniform. Skye looked this way and her face turned into one that expressed her emotions of shocked and determination.

'Psst' I heard from the cell door, I slid across the slider that sat at the top of the door only to see the back of a police officer... great. I was going to close it till I heard "do you want out?' they said in a whisper. "yes?" "don't be frighten it's me, Skye" Skye said in whisper I waved Autumn over so we can be together and fill her in on what's happening.
"so is that a yes??" Skye asked. "hell yeah" Autumn said in a yell/whisper. I heard a jingle sound coming from keys. The door slid open and she stepped in. "alright, you two are going to walk out of here and go to the court yard and find the gap in the far left corner and continue running without getting caught by the camera's or the guard towers" she said sternly. "got it" we both said in unison. She walked out us as we walked out behind us, turning to the left and through the sketchy hallway towards the stairs that take you to the back doors that lead you to the court yard.
After opening the doors and a cold rush of air hit our faces as we started running for the corner, with very step we got closer it only seemed like it was just out of our grasp. As we continued running we were just a couple of metres away we heard sirens going off and the guard tower lights going crazy in search for something, but that could only mean we've been spotted. "RUN!!!!" Autumn screamed as we got to the wall that had barbed wire around the top. Autumn slid through when all of a sudden... BANG!! I've been shot in the lag. "AHHH!!" I yelled in agony. I stumbled through the gap and saw that Autumn fled, I tried running but it was no use as I get falling or stumbling everywhere, but was that going to stop me... SURE THE HELL AIN'T. I fell in the mud as I looked behind me to see... BEN, held his rifle and aimed it at me and was going to pull the trigger I closed my eyes and tensed up my whole body waiting for the impact that was going to kill me.
BANG!!
But I felt nothing. I looked up as I saw autumn fall to her knees in front of me "go.... Pl-please fo-for me..." she whispered as she choked out these words. I got up and started running. The pain in my leg was nothing compared to the determination that filled my soul, this is for you Autumn. I ran around the corner of the build only for it to change to daylight and have brick pavement...
