After Nogo took his son with him to a dark place called Shadow Realm, he wanted to start manipulating the child. The jester had to be on his side, no matter what!
When Rascal didn't want to, Nogo basically forced him and left Rascal with a lot of emotional damage. Nogo made sure the jester would start loving destruction himself and became sadistic.
Rascal never wanted to become evil, but in the end he did.
'Look,' Nogo said all the time. 'Do you hear it? Do you hear people talking with so much hate about jokers like you?'
It hurts Rascal when people did that.
'But be at my side and you will get revenge on those people.'
Rascal slowely nodded. 'I will. Forever...'
'Good. Very good.'
