Chapter 8-Family frenzy

Alison's POV

"Dad,welcome home" I beam at my father once he steps into view.I walk towards him and give him a hug. "Hello princess,how was your day?" He asks as we make our way to the dinner table.

"It was the usual" I reply once we are standing next to the dinner table.My dad walks over to my mom to greet her and then he introduces himself to Mrs Hunter.Soon all the adults are in a deep conversation about whatever words they are using in it.

I glance over to Chase who seems to already be giving me a side glance.I still can't actually believe that he is my neighbor.

OMG I HAVE A HOT BAD BOY NEIGHBOR!!!!

Cue the dramatic faint...

I raise my eyebrow at him and he just shrugs.I think it is safe to say that i am attracted to Chase. But i have a dark past that probably nobody would accept me for. Many people wouldn't think i've been through hell because i don't show people it. I still keep my head up because in the end my battle scars don't really define me, i have too much on my plate and it would unfair to bring Chase into the equation.

"Your dad keeps giving me death glares,is he trying to say "stay away or you will be in your grave" princess?" He chuckles lowly and I just roll my eyes at him.

I couldn't help but notice how sweet he is with his cousin,she is just adorable.I wouldn't mind babysitting her any day.

"Alison honey,would you mind bringing the desert out?" My mom's voice breaks my thoughts and I gently nod my head and head to the kitchen.

After what seems forever I finally get the bowls down and serve the pudding to everyone.Thanks a lot for putting the bowls so high up mom. 

Dinner goes by smoothly and before i know it its time for the Hunters and Rose to leave.

While my parents are having their last conversation I kneel down on both knees and sit in front of little Rose.

I put on a puppy face and whisper to her "Please don't go Rose I will miss you very much" she gives me a toothy smile and whispers back "Don't worry Ali,I will be back soon I promise.We can play dollies again" I can't help but giggle at the little munchkin in front of me.She gives me a hug and walks over to Chase who seems to be in conversation with my dad about fishing and motorcycles.

Mrs Hunter gives me a massive hug and I happily return it. "It was nice meeting you Mrs Hunter" I say once we pull away.

"The pleasure is all mine dear.Next time call me Anne,no need to he so formal" she smiles

I gently nod and wave them goodbye as they exit the door.

"Alison dear,help me tidy up would you?" Mom says while walking towards the kitchen.

"Sure mom" I reply knowing I won't be able to say no.

"So honey,we invited the Hunters to accompany us to Granny for Good Friday next week" my mom says and I freeze in my place.

"Mom you can't be serious,what do you mean you invited them" I ask shocked and annoyed at my mom.

"Honey they need a little trip.Rose just lost her mother so they are adopting her because her father is no where to be found.I decided to invite them so they could forget about the morbit situation" my mom explains and I just nod and internally sigh.

That's going to be one hell of a weekend yay me...
