Wendy Goes To YorkNew City

Defend and Attack

September first, the day Wendy, Killua, Leorio, and Kurapika have chosen to reunite in YorkNew City, and it is on this morning that Wendy and Killua visit the bustling YorkNew marketplace.

"Wow, look at all the people!" Said Wendy in awe.

"The whole purpose of this market is to swindle the visitors who have come for the auction." Said Killua.

"Wait. So this isn't the auction venue?" Asked Wendy.

"No, of course it isn't. YorkNew's dream auction is held once a year in the world's largest auction house." Said Killua.

"They say that tens of trillions of Jenny exchange hands during only 10 days of official bidding." Said Killua.

"Tens of trillions? Really?" Asked Wendy.

"Yeah. Something that sells for 10,000 today could go for a hundred million tomorrow. Bam, instant fortune. It's where dreams come true." Said Killua.

"Wow." Said Wendy.

"Well, Anyway, that's a big part of the reason why so much of the underworld auctioning happens at the same time." Said Killua.

"That's awesome!" Said Wendy.

While they were walking, Wendy wore a black suit like top with a light trim, large light blue cuffs, dress skirt with a teal tie, a small light blue skirt, a large yellow sash, black stockings, her hair all the way down, and brown shoes.

Killua wore a white long sleeved shirt with a pink sweater over it, short blue jeans, and purple shoes.

"So, Hey, you think Kurapika and Leorio are gonna show?" Asked Killua.

"They promised they'd meet us here today, so I'm sure they will." Said Wendy.

"Right. They might try to contact us, so...

Killua pulled out his phone. "Wendy! You've really gotta get a phone. Every Hunter needs one." Said Killua.

Wendy chuckled a little. "Yeah. I know." Said Wendy.

Wendy and Killua walked to a phone booth. "Hey, Welcome!" Said the Vendor.

"This is one the hottest new models. It's ultra-thin and no bigger than a credit a card. Plus it has G.P.S., which is great for finding people." Said the Vendor.

"Don't bother." Said a familiar voice.

"Hmm?" Said Wendy. Both Wendy and Killua turn around.

"The range is terrible, and it's not even waterproof. The only thing it's good for is making phone calls."

"Leorio!" Said Wendy happily.

"Hey!" Said Leorio. Leorio walked up to the phone booth.

"Instead, I would recommend... this Beatle-Zero-Seven." Said Leorio while picking it up.

"It's pretty heavy and expensive, but it can translate over 200 languages from places all around the globe." Said Leorio.

"Wait. Really? Hey, get this one. And I'll get one, too." Said Killua.

"Yeah!" Said Wendy.

"Two of these beauties, please." Said Leorio.

"Yes, Sir. That'll be 400,000." Said the Vendor.

"Four Hundred- That's highway robbery!"

"Thanks, Leorio." Thanked Wendy.
