Chapter 1-Getting ready

(6:33 pm)

"Where's Padme?" Obiwan asked as he walked into Anakin and Padme's apartment. It was evening. Padme was not at home at the moment, because she was in the hospital, getting ready to get surgery done.

Anakin: She's having surgery done tonight.

Obiwan: What?! Why?

Anakin: Calm down. She just hasnt been feeling well lately, and she's getting her gall bladder removed. It's no big deal.

Obiwan: But why didn't she tell me? Why didn't YOU tell me? I mean I know we aren't on very good terms right now but you should've told me about the surgery right?

Anakin: Master, I know you're upset. But I could use some help watching the apartment until Padme comes home from the hospital.

Obiwan: Why? You live here now.

Anakin: I realize that. But I could use some company.

Finally accepting, Obiwan replied "Yes" before he went straight to the cooler. He saw the cans of Dr. Wham that sat up in there and became interested.

Obiwan: Can I have one of these?

Anakin: That's actually Padme's, but sure, I bet she wouldn't mind.

(Meanwhile, a few blocks away, at Coruscant Hospital)

Padme looked around at her very white hospital room. It almost hurt her eyes it was so bright....and clean. That was one reason she hated hospitals. They were so clean and white. You could smell the clean. And that another reason why she hated hospitals was because of the smell.

"You almost ready?" asked Nurse Amanda Renner as she opened Padme's hospital room's door.

Padme took in a deep breath shifting in her hospital bed. "I guess I am."

The nurse smiled as she pulled up the standard grey wheelchair that would be used to take Padme down to the operating room.

Amanda: It's okay to be nervous. But this surgery is very simple.

Padme: (Scoffs as she is helped into the wheelchair)...As long as you're not the actual doctor.

She got Padme to the operating room and she got settled. But Padme had no clue what was going to happen to her.
